Some people wanted to be rich while others just wanted fame. Different people were interested in different things.

Great! This is great! Sun Yunsheng was suddenly in good mood. He now knew what Wang Yao cared about.

His life would be much easier if he knew what Wang Yao wanted. He would be at a loss if Wang Yao wanted nothing.

“Mr. Sun, you think my teacher will……” Pan Jun said.

“It shouldn’t be any problem. Your teacher’s business is my business. I’ll try my best to make it work,” Sun Yunsheng said.

Although there were two nominations, even if there was only one nomination in Haiqu, he would get it for Wang Yao.

“Wait, you call Dr. Wang teacher?” Sun Yunsheng asked.

“Yes, Dr. Wang is my teacher now,” Pan Jun said with a smile.

“Are you learning medicine from him?” Sun Yunsheng asked.

“Yes, to be precise, I’m learning massage therapy from him,” Pan Jun said. “I don’t think I can learn anything else even if I want to.” He was an honest person. He was telling the truth.

“I see,” Sun Yunsheng said as he nodded. “That is great.”

“Anyway, thank you for doing that for my teach,” Pan Jun said.

“Not at all, not at all.” Sun Yunsheng walked Pan Jun out of the house.

“See you later,” said Pan Jun.

After he had returned to his house, Sun Yunsheng told Pan Jun’s request to Lin Sitao.

“He wants to be nominated as one of the best doctors in Haiqu?” Lin Sitao asked with surprise.

“Yes, I just heard it from his new student,” Sun Yunsheng said.

“I didn’t expect him to care about that,” Lin Sitao replied.

He always thought Wang Yao didn’t care about money or fame. Plus, he was a calm person, except for the day he got angry with Huang Zhicheng. Lin Sitao could tell Wang Yao cared about his family very much. Wang Yao didn’t seem to be a person that cared about money or fame. If he cared about those things, he wouldn’t have been staying in this isolated village. He would move to Beijing and become a prestigious doctor.

“It’s hard to say,” Sun Yunsheng said. “Some people like money while some prefer fame.”

“Anyway, we should try our best to help him,” Lin Sitao said.

“Not only try our best, we must make sure he will be nominated,” Sun Yunsheng said.

He called his father right away. Although he could talk to relevant personnel in the local government, they would take his father’s words more seriously. His father knew who to talk to and was more efficient.

“I see.” Sun Zhengrong made another call after talking to his son.

The next day, Wang Yao received a call while he was busy working in the clinic.

“Filling out a form? What form?” Wang Yao asked. “What? Nomination of a prestigious doctor in the town? OK…… I see.”

He was a bit confused about the phone call. The Health Department asked him to fill out a form and then submit it to the department.

Wang Yao took a look at the form emailed by the Health Department. The form was related to the voting of 10 prestigious doctors in Lianshan.

“Strange!” Wang Yao hadn’t even registered. However, it was a good thing for him anyway. He printed out the form and completed the form.

“Dad, Mom, I need to go to the town center in the afternoon. Do you need me to buy anything?” Wang Yao asked when he was having lunch at home.

“Nothing, drive safe,” Zhang Xiuying replied.

Wang Yao drove to the town after lunch. He needed to get the official seal on the document. It was simple. He then drove to Lianshan town center to submit the completed form.

The officer of the Health Department browsed through the form. He then gave Wang Yao a glance.

“Is everything alright?” Wang Yao asked.

“Yes, everything’s fine,” the officer said with a smile.

He was simply curious about Wang Yao. As soon as he saw the name on the form, he knew who Wang Yao was. His superior had asked him thousands of times to keep an eye on the form from Wang Yao and make sure he didn’t misplace Wang Yao’s form. The young man in front of him must have a powerful background.

“We will call you to let you know,” the officer said.

“OK, thanks,” Wang Yao said. He then left the department.

“Hey, who was he? I thought they had just announced the nomination,” another officer in the department said.

“Exactly.” The officer who received the form from Wang Yao didn’t say much. He just needed to follow his superior’s instructions. Talking less and doing more was their rule of thumb.

“He must know someone important,” a female officer said.

“I’m not sure if he will make it. Only two doctors outside the hospital system can get the title,” another officer said.

“Is there any benefit after getting the title?” the female officer asked.

“Of course. The county will give them $1,500 allowance every month. They’ll receive the allowance for three consecutive years,” the other officer said.

“Three years?” The female officer was surprised.

“Yeah, they don’t do this every year,” the other officer said.

“That’s a good thing. They should fight for it,” the female officer said.

Wang Yao did some grocery shopping on his way home. While he was driving, he received a call from a strange number.

  “Hello,” Wang Yao said.

“Hello, Dr. Wang, this is Professor Lu calling,” the voice on the phone said.

“Hello, Professor Lu,” Wang Yao said.

“Is it a good time to talk?” Professor Lu asked.

“Just a moment.” Wang Yao pulled over the vehicle. He then called Professor Lu back.

Professor Lu had called Wang Yao to ask when him when he was available because he wanted to bring a friend to see him.

“I’ll be in the clinic in the next few days,” Wang Yao said.

“Great, I’ll take him to your clinic as soon as possible,” Professor Lu replied.

When Wang Yao arrived at home, he found the village secretary was visiting.

“Hello, Uncle Jianli,” Wang Yao said.

“Hi, Yao, you are back,” Wang Jianli said.

“It’s good you are back, your Uncle Jianli needs to talk to you,” Wang Fenghua said.

“Sure, how can I help you?” Wang Yao asked.

“Sun Yunsheng came to tell me that his father’s company has a real estate project in the Lianshan town center,” Wang Jianli said. “The project is called Qing River Estate. It is currently under construction. They expect the construction will finish next year. They offer a big discount to buyers in our village. In addition, they have this initiative that the villagers can exchange their own houses in the village for a unit in Qing River Estate.”

“Exchange for a brand new unit?” Wang Yao asked with surprise.

“Yes, every household is entitled of one unit. 1.2 square meters of old house could be exchanged for one square meter of a new unit. You just give them your old house,” Wang Jianli said.

“I see. I don’t know about this,” Wang Yao said. “What do they need the old houses for?”

“I’m not sure. That’s why I’m here,” Wang Jianli said. “A lot of the villagers were tempted. You know, there were quite a few old houses in the village that were worth nothing. Nowadays, most young people want to move out of the village. Most residents here are people of my and your parent’s age, or even older.”

“Is it hard to do the paperwork?” Wang Yao asked.

“No, I’ve spoken to relevant people,” Wang Jianli replied.

“Then, what are you worried about?” Wang Yao asked.

“Well, are they reliable? I hope they are not fooling us,” Wang Jianli said.

“I see. Don’t worry. They are reliable people,” Wang Yao said. :I’ve just been to the construction site today. They are building the units.”

He had gone to the construction site on his way home and confirmed that the builders were busy working. It was actually close to Chinese New Year, so normally no builder would work at this time of the year unless they were meeting a deadline. Apparently, the construction of residential apartments didn’t normally have a deadline.

“I see,” Wang Jianli said as he took a puff off his cigarette. He didn’t seem convinced.

“Are they really building apartments?” Zhang Xiuying asked after Wang Jianli had left.

  “Yes, why?” Wang Yao asked.

“You know, your sister needs a new apartment to get married,” Zhang Xiuying said.

“Let my brother-in-law worry about that,” Wang Yao said with a smile.

“That’s not possible, she’s your sister,” Zhang Xiuying replied.

“You want an apartment?” Wang Yao asked.

“Yeah, I do have the thought. They provide such a big discount,” Zhang Xiuying said. “Even we don’t move in, we can make a profit by selling it in the future.”

She didn’t live in the town center, but she knew the price of properties there had gone up a lot in the last few years. The price doubled in the last seven years.

“I’ll ask about it for you,” Wang Yao said.

He didn’t actually want to buy a new apartment. He had already bought an apartment in Lianshan town center, and his apartment was at a central location. The point was that he wouldn’t live in the new department. As for making profit out of it, he was really not interested. Otherwise, he would have accepted a whole building from Sun Yunsheng.

It was nice and sunny the next morning. A Feng Shui master came to the village. He was in his 40s and short built. He was invited by the household where an elderly person had just passed away. He was supposed to help them pick a good location in the cemetery.

“The Feng Shui in your village is not good,” the Feng Shui master said before entering the village.

“What is not good?” the villager accompanying the Feng Shui master asked.

The villagers were superstitious. The village was the place where they and their family members lived.

“Look, there are hills at the east, west and south side of the village. The hills block the Qi,” the Feng Shui master said. “In addition, the white tiger was suppressing the green dragon. The hill at the west was full of evil aura. I presumed there had been something bad happened recently?”

“You are right! A lot of livestock have died recently,” the villager said.

“It will be the human being’s turn after a while,” the Feng Shui master said as if he knew everything.

“What can we do about it?” the villager asked.

“Let me take a look at the cemetery first,” the Feng Shui master said.

The villager led the way. The Feng Shui master came into the village. He walked slowly and stopped from time to time to look around. The cemetery was located on the east side, but they had to pass through the south side first.
