Jing Yichen’s heart ached so much that he wanted to fly down to her side, and take her away from the dangerous spot.

She was pregnant and was standing at such a tricky place where she could be pushed into the sea by the men at any time.

Jing Yichen wanted to jump off the plane and break Jing Yiran’s neck.

Unfortunately, he could do nothing at the moment but watch Shangguan Ning stand there.

Cross-Sea Bridge had already been surrounded by Jing Yichen’s men, yet he was still feeling extremely anxious, fearing that something bad would happen to Shangguan Ning.

At the edge of the bridge, Shangguan Ning also saw Jing Yichen and the large troops which he had brought with him.

Four helicopters were spinning overhead, and below her were six seaplanes. The bridge had been cordoned off for passers-by and many police cars were parked on the bank with numerous policemen marching forward with guns.

She knew how powerful the Jing Family was, but had never witnessed their true might with her own eyes.

Shangguan Ning was not scared for herself as she stood at the edge of the bridge. She was just worried that her baby would be affected by the events taking place.

The bridge stood high above the sea and she could see the azure sea that seemed bottomless. It was like a monster that had opened its large mouth, ready to engulf anyone who fell in.

Shangguan Ning massaged her belly softly, trying hard to calm herself down.

With Jing Yichen here, she had nothing to worry about. She would just obey Jing Yiran’s order and wait for the right time.

At least up till now, she had not been physically injured.

Shangguan Ning had no idea what happened. What she knew was that when Lu was with her, she sensed something and passed out.

When she opened her eyes again, she was already on the bridge.

Apparently, the scent from Lu made her fall into a coma, because of which Jing Yiran could take her away.

She had never expected that Lu would have done something like that!

She had regarded Lu as her own sister and cared about her, yet she ended up back stabbing her.

She was not sure why Lu would help Jing Yiran. As far as she remembered, Lu had never shown any mercy towards Jing Yiran whenever they met each other. No matter which side of Lu was dominating, she was always fierce towards Jing Yiran.

Shangguan Ning did not want to believe that Lu was such a woman, yet the facts were irrefutable.

When Jing Yiran called Jing Yichen, she had overheard their conversation.

Jing Yiran had wanted to use her as a bargaining chip to get Jingsheng Enterprise’s shares from Jing Yichen, as well as the inheritance right of the Jing Family!

Although she had not heard what Jing Yichen said, judging from the way Jing Yiran responded, Jing Yichen must have agreed with what he asked for.

  That was not acceptable!

If all of these were given to Jing Yiran, then Jing Yichen would have nothing left.

Jing Yiran was far too shameless and vicious. It was bad of him to take her, a pregnant woman as a hostage. A man like this would never be able to manage Jingsheng Enterprise and Jing Family well. He would ruin the entire family.

Shangguan Ning had stood against Jing Yiran many times. She did not fear him, but the man next to her had a gun aimed at her and even a slight movement from her would alert that man.

Shangguan Ning wanted to scold Jing Yiran and tell him that he was an idiot. But she dare not swear at him or irritate him because it would not do her any good, and it was likely that the baby would suffer with her, too.

She had gone through much trouble during the pregnancy, and was on the verge of giving birth to the baby. The love of a mother inside her heart gave her endless courage and tolerance.

Shangguan Ning saw Jing Yichen coming down from the ladder of the helicopter, and walking onto the bridge towards her.

He was in a hurry and leapt forward in large strides.

He looked like the god of killers who had just come out of hell, lethal and ruthless.

The sea wind of the early spring was freezing, making Shangguan Ning shiver. But the moment she saw Jing Yichen, warmth spread inside her limbs. Even the bottomless sea did not seem that horrifying any more.

Compared to the poised Shangguan Ning, Jing Yiran was furious and anxious!

What was it going on? Had Jing Yichen gotten all the forces of the Jing Family here?

And how come he arrived here so fast?

What was he intending to do with helicopters, seaplanes and police cars all around him?

Why was he being treated like the most wanted man in the movie?

Compared to the might of Jing Yichen, the men he had brought looked incompetent and weak.

Jing Yiran could tell that his men were shivering, and were at the edge of dropping the guns.

Useless people! So easily scared by the situation.

But Yang Muyan’s man seemed fierce and did not care much about the Jing Family’s show of strength.

Jing Yiran did not care about what those people were thinking.

They had been Jing Yiran’s men for years and knew that no matter how many terrible things he had conducted, he would always extract himself out of the trouble, only because he was part of the Jing Family, and no one would kill him.

But it was different for the men because if Jing Yiran made a mistake, it would be his accomplices who had to shoulder the responsibility. Those who helped him would truly be punished by Jing Yichen severely!

Yang Muyan’s man had never witnessed the cruelty of Jing Yichen, so he was fearless. Had he known about it beforehand, he would not have shown this kind of fortitude.

Jing Yichen soon reached them, but he only had eyes upon Shangguan Ning, ignoring the rest of them.

When he saw Shangguan Ning looking pale yet unharmed, he managed to suppress the anger simmering under the surface.

  “Are you alright, Ning?”

Shangguan Ning almost had tears trickling down her eyes when she heard his voice.

But she tried hard to make sure that she looked calm. “I am fine.”

Actually, after standing for so long at the edge of the bridge, she had already started to feel unwell. Yet she could not say a thing, and believed that Jing Yichen must be more furious and anxious than her at this moment.
