For the first time since her sister sought temporary shelter at her place, Tang Moyu saw her being genuinely happy. Although she was still a bit worried that her ex-husband would direct his anger towards Tang Moyu, Tang Wanyu was glad that she could finally divorce him with her sister's help.

"No." Feng Tianyi replied as he checked the damage Han Shaohui and his people had left in their mini garden. Thankfully, only the newly planted crops were ruined and there wasn't any property damage within Tang Moyu's compound. "I wasn't mad. Just a little disappointed."

He made a mental note to demand for the tightening of security within Peach Blossom Garden so that no one could access Tang Moyu's property unless they were given permission to enter by either the empress or himself. The empress easily agreed with him when he asked for her permission, knowing that this was the only way to pacify his disappointment in himself and for the sake of the safety of her little buns.

Tang Moyu then followed him back to the guest house, where they stayed at the porch, spending time together as always. Tang Wanyu had already gone back to the main house to retire for the night while Moyu's little buns were already at the guest room snoring, sleeping peacefully next to each other.

"I know, that's why I said sorry." Tang Moyu said, allowing Feng Tianyi to pull her wrist and made her sit on his lap. He rarely did this. And whenever he did, he would make sure they were in private, where she wouldn't be embarrassed being a little intimate with him.

Feng Tianyi held her close, burying his face on her shoulder, inhaling her familiar scent. She gave him a shock earlier. Like Song Fengyan, he wasn't aware that she had such advanced fighting skills, and that she could protect herself well from physical attacks.

Still, as her boyfriend, Feng Tianyi naturally got worried over her safety. While she was definitely cool beating the shit out of Han Shaohui, he still felt that his heart was ready to jump out of his chest from nervousness.

This actually further motivated him to force himself to get back on his feet as soon as possible. Han Shaohui was nothing but a small shrimp, he definitely needed to regain his strength, just in case Moyu stumbled against a bigger opponent in the future, which the devil hoped it would not be anytime soon or perhaps, never.

If it was possible he didn't want her to get involved with those kinds of fights again. Who knows what could possibly happen. He was afraid that Moyu might encounter a person she couldn't easily beat down on her own.

Growing up, being recognized and acknowledged by her parents was what drove her to continue forward and strive for perfection. Several times she wished that it didn't hurt, that she would get used to being alone, but her heart was still yearning for something…

Now that she had someone who claimed to love her, to cherish her… why was it so hard to accept it? Was her fear of rejection still getting a hold on her or was it because it still hadn't sunk in her mind that she wasn't alone anymore?

All her life she had only aimed for one thing, and that was her parents' approval. Though she didn't care about what her mother thought of her anymore, Tang Wanyu's revelation had brought distraught on her, shattering all her dreams, challenging her belief and what she knew so far.

In the darkness of the night, in Feng Tianyi's arms, Tang Moyu let herself cry. She wished she could extend the night so long she could stay a little longer in his arms, safe in his embrace.

With him, she didn't need to pretend to be strong. She didn't need to hide her sorrows and fear. Her cold mask and arrogance would never be enough to hide and protect her vulnerable heart.

"I'm sorry." She whispered to him. "I should have told you." She now understood why he was upset with her. She would have probably reacted the same way if she was in his place.

She knew that it was unfair for Feng Tianyi, that she was still on guard to protect the remaining pieces of her worn heart, even though she was with him.

Tang Moyu hated that she allowed Zhang Wuying to use her, to manipulate her. Up to this very day she could still feel the remnants of her mother's puppet strings binding her, restricting her, simply refusing to let her go.

"I can't say it's alright, but I hope you'll avoid situations like this in the future, Moyu. You don't know how scared I was seeing you like that." Feng Tianyi admitted. If something wrong had happened earlier, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself for his incompetence.

"Moyu, please please do me a favor and try to avoid getting into any fights until I regain my strength and ability to walk." He patted her small back as she continued to cry in his embrace. She must still be upset over the fact that she'd been betrayed by her father and was fooled by the woman who raised her.

Patience. Feng Tianyi told himself. He would be able to resume his therapy sessions this coming week and he was more eager than ever to fully recover. Just wait and see, once he could leave this inferior wheelchair he was on, no one would be able to bully his woman ever again!

The two remained in each other's arms, conversing in low voices until it was time for Tang Moyu to go back to the main house to call it a day. However, Feng Tianyi stopped her.

"Moyu, can you stay with me tonight?"
