Song Qingchun clasped her palms together and turned her watery eyes at him. "Su Zhinian, I just want to see your power in action to see if you’re lying to me…… Please……"

  Su Zhinian sighed with disapproval before turning to signal for Song Qingchun to stop. He then turned to look at the waitress. With a frown, Song Qingchun saw the waitress, who was walking away from their table, suddenly turn around to walk toward them.

  The waitress placed the bowl of corn soup on the table and even smiled gently at her. "Miss Song Qingchun, bon apetit."

  Song Qingchun knew this was Su Zhinian telling her that through the lips of the waitress, but she still pretended like it came from the waitress herself. She smiled at the waitress and politely replied, "Thank you."

  The waitress responded in kind. She then turned to leave. However, she only took two steps before she stopped. Song Qingchun glanced at Su Zhinian and saw that the tension between the man’s brows had relaxed. He had an expression that said, This has nothing to do with me.

  Song Qingchun knew that the waitress was no longer under his control. She tried to stop her lips from curving up as she called after the waitress. "Miss?"

  The waitress turned slowly toward her voice, and there was apparent confusion on the waitress’ face. Song Qingchun pointed shyly at the corn soup on the table and said, "I’m sorry, but I don’t think we ordered this."

  The waitress looked at the table that she had been heading toward originally before turning to look at Song Qingchun’s table. She frowned confusedly but still rushed forward to apologize as she picked up the soup. "Sir, Miss, I’m so sorry for my mistake."

  "It’s okay," Song Qingchun replied with an understanding smile. She waited until the waitress was quite a distance away before she chuckled to herself. She did feel sorry for using the waitress, but she just wanted to see Su Zhinian’s power in action……

  After lunch, Su Zhinian and Song Qingchun went down to the mall. Song Qingchun walked into a store that she normally visited. The salesgirl, who saw the expensive outfit Su Zhinian had on, rushed forward with outward passion. She introduced the many items on sale as she followed behind Song Qingchun and Su Zhinian.

  From the moment Song Qingchun stepped into the shop, the salesgirl went through her pitch until her throat was dry, but Song Qingchun didn’t utter a word in response. After the salesgirl had followed them all the way around the shop, she became a bit despondent because Song Qingchun didn’t seem like she was about to buy anything. Eventually, even the sales pitch stopped.

  The salesgirl accompanied Song Qingchun and Su Zhinian silently as they circled back to the shop entrance. Su Zhinian thought Song Qingchun was going to leave because she didn’t spot anything that she wanted. However, as he took the first step out of the shop, he realized that the girl had suddenly stopped.

  He paused and turned around with confusion to look at Song Qingchun. "What’s wrong?"

  Song Qingchun stood where she was and turned her face up to look at him. She didn’t reply to his question and didn’t seem like she was going to leave with him.
