“Second Young Mistress Huo wants me to tell you to stop daydreaming.”

  Yan Jinyi hung up hostilely.

‘Fool, don’t you know where you stand? Do you think it’s that easy to get together with me’

The chauffeur removed his earphones and quietly hung up the phone while secretly praying for Yan Jinyi’s safety in his heart.

When Yan Jinyi arrived at the airport, Assistant Wen was already standing in front of a commercial car and waiting for her. When he saw her, he hurriedly greeted, “Second Young Mistress Huo, Mr. Huo is already in the car, please get in.”

After thinking for a moment, Yan Jinyi pulled open the car door.

Huo Xishen was wearing a cream-colored trench coat with a pair of gold-rimmed glasses that was sitting on the bridge of his nose. His hair was draping in front of his forehead and he looked much gentler than he usually was.

  “Good afternoon, Mr. Huo!”

She got inside the car and turned her head to the side to greet Huo Xishen.

Huo Xishen seemed to be in a bad mood as he was exuding a gloomy and sinister aura. Upon hearing this, he humphed coldly.

‘Doggy Huo is acting like a big shot again.’

Yan Jinyi secretly thought to herself.

The car drove forward slowly while Huo Xishen leaned back on the seat and closed his eyes. It was rather quiet in the car and Yan Jinyi felt rather depressed.

Just as she was contemplating about whether or not she should take the initiative to break the silence, Huo Xishen said coldly, “I heard that someone has a crush on you, Darling.”

Yan Jinyi was rather surprised. ‘How did he know?’

Huo Xishen began to explain again, “The chauffeur happened to be talking to Assistant Wen on the phone when you played the voice message.”

  !!!

‘Why didn’t you make a single sound? All the members of your family and the people who work for you are jerks! You’re the worst of them all!’

“Is there? There is actually a psychopath who asked me to help him confess his love to someone. His crush isn’t me, so you must have heard wrongly, Mr. Huo.”

Huo Xishen chose not to expose her and he simply pressed his thin lips together while asking, “Darling, do you like boy toys?”

“I’m fine with the idea of toying with them but I don’t like them. Besides, you have to pay to keep a boy toy, I’m not that rich.”

‘I can consider it if a boy toy wants to make me his sugar baby.’

Yan Jinyi had always cared about money the most.

Huo Xishen slipped into deep thought.

“Mr. Huo, why are you back so soon this time?”

Huo Xishen immediately answered, “I missed you.”

Assistant Wen who was driving, quietly pulled up the partition in the car with trembling hands.

‘Mr. Huo has already learned how to flirt with women and decided to actively seek treatment for his misogyny. Yet, I’m still single!’

‘I’m clearly a year older than him!’

‘Will the company reimburse me for failing to get married or get into a relationship? After all, it’s because I’m too busy with work.’

Yan Jinyi was a little surprised too. While looking into Huo Xishen’s eyes, she chuckled and said without any guilt, “Mr. Huo, you’re so good at cracking jokes. We’re already so close to each other, no need for such stuff.”

After looking for a while, Huo Xishen nodded and said, “Darling, you’re right.”

Yan Jinyi breathed a sigh of relief.

‘Doggy Huo is so charming. An ascetic man like him is so attractive, I might let history repeat itself and fall for him. But I have an entire sea of fishes waiting for me!’

“Mr. Huo, you might be in love.”

Huo Xishen asked with raised brows, “Is it that obvious?”

Yan Jinyi nodded solemnly. “Yes, Mr. Huo, you can let me know who you’ve fallen more. I can help you on the account that we’re husband and wife.”

Huo Xishen suddenly didn’t feel like talking to her.

There was once again silence in the car.

Yan Jinyi thought to herself in disdain, ‘Why is Doggy Huo’s temper becoming so erratic again? I wouldn’t be so nice to you if you’re still in control of my money.’
