“Qingyuan, is this the impression you have of me?”

Huo Chengyu asked in a low voice, staring at Huo Qingyuan with a squint.

As soon as she heard Huo Chengyu’s voice, Huo Qingyuan trembled. “I’m just worried that Second Sister-in-law won’t get along with you.”

  ‘Won’t get along?’

As far as he knew, he probably had the best temper in the entire Huo Family.

‘Has this arrogant and hot-tempered young lady been conquered by Yan Jinyi?’

“You’re old, you don’t get the tacit understanding between us youngsters,” Yan Jinyi said, pouring herself some water in a good mood. “When are your final exams?”

Huo Qingyuan was instantly unsettled. With a shrug, she turned around slowly to pick up the reference books on the sofa. “There are still two more days to go.”

Yan Jinyi nodded. In fact, she didn’t have any expectations for Huo Qingyuan to pass with flying colors, but the latter seemed to be extremely eager to do well and show her some results.

“I’ve never passed an exam before.”

Hearing those words, Huo Qingyuan’s eyes lit up.

  ‘Wow!’

‘I thought Second Sister-in-law is invincible, but it turns out she’s a worse student than I am!’

Yan Jinyi thought to herself secretly, ‘Well because I’ve never taken an exam before.’

When she was a bandit in the past, there was a girl in the village who belonged to an affluent family which later slipped into poverty. That girl was the one who taught her to read and write.

After coming to this messed up world, she inherited the memories of the original owner.

She really wanted to experience the legendary school time romance!

The box office sales of ‘Female Fortress Leader’ had already exceeded two billion yuan a month after its release. If nothing went wrong, it would probably be one of the highest-grossing films in box office sales by the end of the screening period. They might even win a place in the list of top films of the recent years.

Lin Chenggong was put behind bars for trying to take liberties with Yan Jinyi, and his reputation had suffered a huge hit too. On the other hand, Tao Wei regained confidence and the bigtime celebrities and fellow directors who used to despise him had all begun trying to build connections with him again.

Yan Jinyi received a call from Tao Wei immediately after she woke up.

“Jinyi, have you heard of the variety show named ‘The Weekend’ which is a popular program that airs every Saturday evening? The producers and main creators of our film have been invited to participate in the next episode.”

While squeezing toothpaste, Yan Jinyi said, “Oh, I never heard of it.”

Tao Wei really wanted to yell, “You work in the entertainment industry, but you don’t even know about this program. What else do you know?”

“Only popular celebrities or famous figures who are newsworthy will be invited to this show. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for every artist to be on this show.”

  “How much?”

Yan Jinyi asked, her voice muffled and unclear as she had already started brushing her teeth.

  “Huh?”

“How much can I earn from being on this show?”

“At least hundreds of thousands. After all…”

  “Damn!”

Without hesitation, Yan Jinyi said, “Give me the time and address.”

‘Jinyi, please buck up and have some backbone. Our film has exceeded two billion yuan in box office sales. How can you get so excited because of such a meager sum?’

Tao Wei wiped his cold sweat and said, “Okay, okay, I’ll send it to you.”

‘Ah, I get to earn money again. I’m one step closer to becoming a self-made wealthy woman.’

Yan Jinyi recently had the intention to buy a mountain and recruit some underlings, so as to rebuild the Black Cloud Fortress.

In order to buy a mountain, she had to work hard and earn money!

After washing up and preparing to go downstairs for breakfast, she saw Huo Chengyu and Huo Zihang sitting on the sofa, watching a crime flick.

“Big Brother, why is it difficult to slit the neck?”

Huo Chengyu answered seriously, “Because it’s difficult to find the artery.”
