There was naturally no need to keep people who couldn’t provide useful information. This was the rule.

Team C’s members understood. They grabbed those people by the hair and signaled for the dogs to be let out…

“Sir! I saw someone seize your wife midway! It was that mister you had a meal with the other time!”

A voice that was trembling and terrified shouted out. It was out of pitch, clearly showing how terrified he was.

Some people were afraid of death, and when they saw that Lu Jinnan intended to leave the one who spoke the truth alive, they quickly struggled to charge forth and shout, hoping Fu Huai’an would allow them to live.

“Sir! Sir! What I’m saying is the truth! I saw it personally! It was that man who took your wife! Please spare my life!”

After seeing the six Tosas killing people with bloodshot eyes, they felt horrified.

Even though there were some amongst them that were tough and refused to say anything, they still couldn’t help but feel nervous and scared!

Death wasn’t scary. What was scary was to die in such a brutal way!

To be torn apart by six Tosas, watching as those beasts swallowed their flesh, their life slowly seeping away… This was the terrifying and torturous part!

Everyone said that the people working for “Mr. Moral” had ruthless means. Today, they had seen it for themselves!

Compared to being killed by the six Tosas, they would rather be shot to death or beheaded directly. At least then they would be able to die a quick death!

Fu Huai’an didn’t stop walking but took long strides with his head lowered, shielding a flame with one hand and lighting a cigarette. He took a deep puff, and the white smoke that he exhaled from the corners of his lips blurred out his cold and sharp eyes.

The hand that was clamping onto the cigarette dropped down to his side, and the raindrops that dripped down from the end of the big black umbrella smashed onto the flickering tip. Sizzling sounds were released until the cigarette was completely extinguished.

The phone in Little Lu’s pocket vibrated, and he quickly took it out and picked up the call. His countenance suddenly changed, and he took a step forward to say to Fu Huai’an, “Mr. Fu, the other party says that he is Matt De Niro!”

Fu Huai’an’s deep gaze emitted a penetrating chill, and he casually flicked away the cigarette he had only puffed twice. He took the phone that Little Lu handed him and put it by his ear…

Not far away, Lu Jinnan made a sign to signal their men to take action, and the six Tosas were released. They instantly pounced forth, and agonizing cries rang through the skies. After obtaining useful information, Lu Jinnan didn’t leave a single one of them alive.

The reason Lu Jinnan did this was so that he could intimidate Matt De Niro, who was on the phone.

“Matt De Niro, I heard someone kidnapped my wife but that she was saved by you. Is my wife with you now?” Fu Huai’an’s deep and alluring voice was filled with a composure that took Li Muyang by surprise.

Agonizing cries rang out from the other end of the phone, and Li Muyang had a deeper level of certainty in regard to Fu Huai’an’s identity.

If Fu Huai’an was only Gu Qingcheng’s friend, there was no way that he could make Gu Qingcheng disregard his plans in Italy and mobilize everyone to search for a woman. Neither would Gu Qingcheng use threats to make that Italian military general show them some convenience!

However, Li Muyang had yet to find any substantial evidence to prove that Fu Huai’an was “Mr. Moral.”

The corners of Li Muyang’s lips curled up, and he turned his head to look at Lin Nuan, who was placed on a big bed and was being given a drip. He said, “Mr. Fu, I apologize. I brought too few people to Italy this time around. I wasn’t able to guarantee both mine and your wife’s safety while dealing with those people and waiting for your arrival. Therefore, I let the plane take off first! It then took me some effort to get your contact information, resulting in the delayed call. I apologize for making you worry!”

  Li Muyang sounded very polite.

“I’m very thankful that you saved my wife! Since she’s with you, then I’ll head over to pick her up!”

“Of course!” Li Muyang replied straightforwardly, not showing any signs that he wanted to keep Lin Nuan by his side.

After hanging up the call, Fu Huai’an handed the phone to Little Lu. “Make arrangements for a plane to the United States!”

  …

In the massive room, Lin Nuan was deep asleep on a big, soft bed, her breathing steady and rhythmic. Her long hair draped across the white bedsheets, and her face was a little flush, possibly because she was feeling warm.

A man dressed in a black knitted sweater sat by the bedside, his gaze fixed upon Lin Nuan.

Lin Nuan’s hands suddenly clenched, her brows furrowed, and her eyelashes trembled. It was as if she were struggling within a nightmare yet couldn’t wake up…

Lin Nuan, who had sunken into her slumber, dreamed that she had headed back to her room to get her phone. She had just bent over to pick up the phone when someone grabbed her by the neck and covered her mouth and nose. That suffocating feeling made her feel great despair.

She used all of her strength to pry off the big hand that had covered her mouth and nose with a handkerchief, but her struggles were futile. Her consciousness sank into darkness, and she felt that someone had wrapped a hand around her chest and was dragging her out.

Lin Nuan’s heart was palpitating extremely quickly, and there was a voice in her heart that kept telling her to escape—to escape quickly!

However, she was unable to move!

She wanted to push away the arm that was confining her, but she wasn’t able to raise her arms!

She knew that You Nainai was right outside the door, but no matter what she did, Lin Nuan was unable to make a single sound. She was forcibly dragged into the darkness…

It was as if Lin Nuan had sunk into chaos, and even her dreams were in a mess.

For a moment, it was Qin Zhe firing a gun at Fu Huai’an, and Lin Nuan was unable to stop him no matter how hard she tried. The despair she felt in her dreams brought her heart-wrenching pain. Even though Lin Nuan had realized that these blurry scenes were just a dream, she still couldn’t help but feel heartache.

In her dreams, Lin Nuan tried to force herself to wake up, but her attempts were futile. Yet her consciousness was gradually waking up. As her eyelids opened and closed with great difficulty, she could faintly see a figure sitting by the bed. However, she was unable to move her body at all.

Even though Lin Nuan could only see a silhouette, she was certain that this person wasn’t Fu Huai’an!

She couldn’t move, her eyes could only be opened with great difficulty, and there was a stranger sitting next to her. The situation caused a chill to dart up from Lin Nuan’s spine to her head. She used all of her strength, wanting to shout out, but Lin Nuan felt as if someone was forcibly dragging her back into that darkness. Her consciousness was fighting intensely against it.

Seeming to notice that Lin Nuan was showing signs of waking up, that black silhouette got close to her and raised a hand to place on her forehead. The fingertips felt cold.

Lin Nuan’s heart rose up to her throat, and with great effort, she finally broke free from the big net that was restraining her. She suddenly sat up and moved back to lean against the headboard. Her heart pounded so intensely that it felt as if it was going to jump out of her chest.

Lin Nuan’s agitated actions seemed to have frightened Li Muyang as well.

When Lin Nuan suddenly sat up, he stood up. The hand he had placed on Lin Nuan’s head lifted up, and he looked at the panicking Lin Nuan. His throat rolled… he opened his mouth, but his voice seemed to be stuck in his throat. He wasn’t able to say anything.

Still in shock, Lin Nuan saw Li Muyang standing by the bed with his hands slightly raised. Her heart beat increasingly faster, and her nerves were tensed up like a fully drawn bow, her heart thumping hard.
