She walked over quickly, explaining to the hotel’s security staff that they were guests in the presidential suite on the 33rd level and that Chu Jiaoyang was her sister who had come over to look for her friend.

Then, Chu Xun grabbed Chu Jiaoyang’s wrist and yanked her to her side. “Why are you causing a scene? Fu Huai’an isn’t even here!”

“No!” Chu Jiaoyang grabbed Chu Xun’s hand in return, staring at her tearily as if wanting Chu Xun to stand up for her. “I heard the sound of television and people chatting inside! The butler of this suite even pushed a lunch trolley inside just now. But Lin Nuan’s female bodyguard refused to let me in, even shutting the door in my face! It must be that bad woman, Lin Nuan, stopping Brother Huai’an from seeing me! Sis… you must help me teach that bad woman a lesson!”

Chu Xun’s head was about to explode. She wondered how her second uncle and her aunt managed to raise such a brainless daughter. Was she a retard or what?

Even though Chu Xun normally doted on this cousin of hers, anger was surging up uncontrollably within her right now.

“You’re asking me to teach Fu Huai’an’s wife a lesson? What are you thinking? What right do I have to do that?” Chu Xun spoke louder than usual, so loud that it startled even Lin Nuan, Bai Xiaonian, and You Nainai.

“Sis!” Chu Jiaoyang stared at Chu Xun with those large and watery eyes of hers, tears falling down her cheeks uncontrollably. “Isn’t she a show host at your Haicheng TV Station? Why are you unable to teach her a lesson?”

At the mention of this, Chu Xun’s heart ached…

Previously, she had been too rash in replacing Lin Nuan. When Lin Nuan was under her wing, she could still hold her down, but now, Lin Nuan was planning to leave Haicheng TV Station. She had also heard that Fang Yan was helping Lin Nuan set up her own agency.

Her actions ended up allowing Lin Nuan to flourish; this was what Chu Xun failed to think through clearly because she was too overwhelmed by jealousy at the time.

When Fu Huai’an and Lu Jinnan came, they thought that the matter would have been settled already. Who knew that when they arrived with Little Lu, Chu Xun and Chu Jiaoyang would be quarreling in front of the hotel’s security staff.

“Have you gone silly from reading those magazines?” Chu Xun pointed at the two shut doors of the suite. “Inside is Fu Huai’an’s legitimate wife with whom he has registered his marriage! Just because her husband doesn’t wish to see you, you’re asking me to teach her a lesson? How did something like that even come out of your mouth? What right do I have to do that? Am I her mother-in-law or her mother? If you have so much time, go home and study to enrich your brain. Don’t say childish things like that the moment you open your mouth and give others a reason to laugh at you! Never mind if you’re merely throwing your own face, but you’re throwing the Chus’ face alongside your own!”

Since she was young, Chu Xun had never spoken so harshly to Chu Jiaoyang before. The young lady’s tears flowed down like a string of broken pearls. “I want to call Grandma and Grandpa!”

“Fine! Call them now!” Chu Xun spoke in such a loud voice that she felt like smoke was coming out of her throat.

Chu Jiaoyang couldn’t help crying out loud. “How am I in the wrong when I just like Brother Huai’an? I don’t even mind that he has that Lin Nuan, so why should Lin Nuan mind? I’m not even calculative about her background and am willing to be second to her! Just like in our family… Aunt Xia can’t compare to my mother regardless of her status or family background! But I’m better than Lin Nuan in every way!”

Chu Xun was so mad that a ringing sound was going off in her brain. Hearing what Chu Jiaoyang said, she couldn’t help feeling sorrowed. Chu Jiaoyang had only come to know Fu Huai’an because of her. She was far fonder of Fu Huai’an than Chu Jiaoyang and had been for much longer!

How dare Chu Jiaoyang say that she just liked Fu Huai’an!

Recalling how she had once abandoned her pride and stripped naked in front of Fu Huai’an, then looking again at how Chu Jiaoyang appeared so willing to be degraded, Chu Xun’s eyes turned red. She felt that the two of them had disgraced the Chu family entirely!

However, there was a difference. Although Chu Xun was disgraceful, she didn’t do it in public, nor did she speak of her desire for Fu Huai’an like that.

As for Chu Jiaoyang, what right did she have to shamelessly say she wished to become Fu Huai’an’s mistress here? Was it just because she was young?

Chu Xun was so furious that her chest was heaving up and down violently. She threw her phone towards Chu Jiaoyang, causing her to retreat a step. She only managed to steady herself by grabbing the door frame.

Chu Jiaoyang cried harder now, staring at Chu Xun in disbelief and stomping her foot coyly as she spoke. “Sis… why are you ganging up to bully me with outsiders? Don’t you dote on me the most?”

Yes, Chu Xun normally doted on Chu Jiaoyang because she felt that it was rare for someone to be so clean and innocent!

But this clean and innocent quality had turned into “as stupid as a pig,” so how could Chu Xun adore that?

In the corridor, Lu Jinnan spoke in a low voice as he walked towards the suite with Fu Huai’an. “Qingcheng has sent Team C over. They’re right outside the hotel now and have identified those eyeing us. Those who just started collaborating with us are indeed discontent and have been trying to find out who the boss behind Qingcheng is. We’ve been checked by them once before, and if not for that fiasco in Dubai this time around, they likely wouldn’t have targeted you again.”

Just then, they heard Chu Xun’s voice…

“Go ahead and tell Grandpa and Grandma that you’ve fallen for a married man, that you planned to throw yourself at him and be his mistress, but that he doesn’t want you. Tell them to stand up for you! Go ahead and try! See if you don’t get beaten to death by them!” There wasn’t a hint of pity in Chu Xun’s voice; every word carried thorns with it.

“Yo… it’s rare to see Chu Xun throwing such a big fit!” Lu Jinnan couldn’t help saying to Fu Huai’an.

Hearing Lu Jinnan’s voice, Chu Xun looked up. In the distance, she saw Fu Huai’an, who was in a white T-shirt and navy blue cashmere cardigan, standing with Lu Jinnan and Little Lu.

Fu Huai’an’s dark eyes were deep and calm, appearing unfathomable. It was impossible for one to detect his emotions underneath those tough facial features.

Chu Xun felt incredibly uncomfortable, especially worried that Fu Huai’an had heard Chu Jiaoyang’s line about wanting to become the “Aunt Xia” by his side.

She grabbed Chu Jiaoyang’s wrist and wanted to leave, embarrassed. “Come with me!”

“I’m not leaving! Sis, you’re bad! You were never fierce to me like this before! You no longer like me! I’m going to tell my mother! I won’t come out with you in the future… I want to look for Brother Huai’an!”

“To put it nicely, this kid is so naive that she’s a little dumb. To put it not so nicely, how is she different from a retard?” Lu Jinnan said as he frowned at Chu Jiaoyang’s slim and svelte back view.

  Little Lu was speechless.

Even when he was “putting it nicely,” it was already pretty awful!

Lu Jinnan didn’t speak all that softly, so even Chu Jiaoyang could hear him. The minute she turned around and saw the leggy Fu Huai’an, she broke free of Chu Xun’s grasp and cried as she ran in his direction.
