  Ji Ziming’s mouth turned up at her intimate action. Although he knew that she was merely putting on an act for the two people before them, he was not the least bit repulsed by it.

  In fact, he felt that spoiling her like this was just right.

  “Cousin, as for you, no matter what you think of me, I want you to know that I won’t harp on you over a matter that is already in the past. Let bygones be bygones, I say. Nonetheless, I hope that I won’t ever hear you say that I am still in love with your fiancé again.” She gave Pei Shishi a meaningful look while saying this.

  “I, Pei Ge, am not someone who can’t find a man. I don’t need to continue hanging on to a jerk who doesn’t love me, especially when he already belongs to someone else. To be honest, I really don’t think he matches up to me, so I hope that you will not speak such laughable words ever again. It will be really bad if someone takes those rubbish words as the truth.”


  Pei Ge felt conflicted regarding her cousin.

  On one hand she was mad that a loved one would do this thing to her, on the other hand she was rather unwilling to totally burn bridges with her.

  After all, they were sisters who grew up together and shared half of the same blood.

  Pei Shishi only bit down on her lower lip when Pei Ge said those words, and the feelings of rage and viciousness boiled inside her.

  She felt that the other was taunting her at how inferior Zhou Zhuoyang was compared to her amazing boyfriend.

  “Pei Ge……” She clenched her fists so tightly that her fingernails dug at her palms without her noticing it.

  “Cousin?” Pei Ge felt trepidation when she peered into her cousin’s dark irises.

  “.…… I’m sorry for misunderstanding you.” After a pregnant pause, Pei Shishi forced her lips into a light smile and gave this apology to Pei Ge.

  Pei Ge, who still could not put a finger on the weird vibe she was getting from Pei Shishi, merely shook her in a disinterested manner. “It’s fine as long as you understand.”


  “Yes, I understand. I understand it perfectly this time.” Pei Shishi smiled lightly, yet her heart burned with anger and jealousy.

  “Zhuoyang, we should go. Let’s not bother Ge Ge and her boyfriend anymore.” Pei Shishi hooked her arm through her fiancé’s and gently pulled at him.

  Zhou Zhuoyang only regained his senses then.
