Yao Tang had just stepped out of Principal Kong’s office when she ran into a familiar man on the way.

Cheng Zhou was dressed in a fitted suit. He was adjusting his cuffs, walking slowly toward the principal’s office. However, when he saw Yao Tangstepping out of the room, he quickened his pace.

His eyes lit up as he neared her.

Despite her being half a meter away from him, Yao Tang didn’t even bat an eye. Instead, she walked in the other direction as emotionlessly as ever.

Cheng Zhou didn’t look bothered as he stopped her. “Miss Yao,” he said smoothly. “It seems we meet again.”

  “It seems so.”

She shrugged indifferently, not bothering to say anything else.

“This is my business card,” he stated, handing her his business card from his pocket. “If you need anything, feel free to look for me. I have an office right on the fifth floor of the teacher’s building. There’s a sign at the door if you get lost. You’re welcome to come in.

  “Got it.” She nodded.

“Grandma’s doing much better now, thanks to you. Please, if you need anything, you’re free to ask.”

There was a certain ambiguity to his words as if he was trying to flirt with her!

Despite this, Yao Tang still appeared unbothered. There wasn’t even a trace of flattery painted on her features. Instead, she simply nodded once more. “You can thank Cheng Yan.”

Without another word, she walked away.

This was definitely not how he had expected their conversation would go. In fact, he was expecting that she’d be a bit more excited. However, he didn’t chase after her.

Instead, he let her go and stepped inside the principal’s office.

Principal Kong immediately stood in greeting. “Young Master Cheng, you’re here,” he greeted, handing him the paper. “I have the set of questions for our Olympiad Math Competitions. Please, feel free to look at the questionnaire.”
……

In Class One, everyone was too busy glancing at their notebooks, studying for the exam.

“Ranran! I heard that Brother Cheng Zhou had gone to No. 1 High School! His office is located on the fifth floor of the third teacher’s building. You have no problem entering the room. Seize the opportunity. Good luck!”

As soon as Yao Ran turned on her phone, Cheng Wei’s message popped on her screen.

  What?

  Cheng Zhou’s here?

Yao Ran immediately brightened up. Taking out a hand mirror from her desk, she fluffed up her hair and pinched her cheeks. She looked young and beautiful, like a flower that had just bloomed in spring.

Ignoring her classmates, Yao Ran grabbed her stack of exercise books and walked to the teacher’s building.

The third teacher’s building was located on the west wing of the school campus. It was almost always empty, given that it held only a few teachers who specialized both in arts and other extracurriculars.

Finally reaching the fifth floor, she found Cheng Zhou’s office in the center. She peeked inside to see Cheng Zhou lounging in his seat, flipping through a booklet.

Upon a closer look, it seemed that they were test papers.

Distracted, he didn’t notice the young woman peering from outside his office. His hair was slightly messy, with strands falling right between his eyes. His jawline was more defined under the perfect lighting, highlighting his high nose bridge.

He may be wearing a suit, but he could pass as a student.

Giddiness surged through her chest as she knocked lightly. “Brother Cheng Zhou?” she called out. “May I come in?”

Her voice sounded like a melody worth playing.

There was a short pause when he responded, “Come in.”

Yao Ran pushed the door open and stood under the sunlight. A sweet smile showed on her features as she took a step closer to him.

“I was actually supposed to get my exercise book when I saw you. Do you mind if I study here instead?”

  “Sure, have a seat.”

Cheng Zhou wiped the stool next to him like the gentleman he was and let Yao Ransit beside him. “What a coincidence, Miss Yao,” he exclaimed with a smile. “I actually have something urgent I need to be taken care of. You don’t mind, do you?”

“Of course. I’ll just be reviewing here.”

She started copying the test questions, glancing at her from time to time.

The man, however, didn’t look bothered as he actively ignored her.
