As soon as Xi Yan received a call from the office, she immediately ran over. Her face was pale, and her eyebrows were furrowed in worry. What was going on? She didn’t even enter the conference room yet, she could already hear the parents’ rising voices echoing out the corridor. Her lips twitched. There was something wrong. “Where’s Yao Tang?”

  was S

Following the crowd’s furious gazes, she immediately found the teen standing in the middle of the crowd.

This time, she still had a nonchalant look on her face, unbothered at the way these parents were throwing curses at her face. She shrugged and shoved her hands into her pockets.

However, when Yao Tang saw Xi Yan, her face darkened almost completely.

“Xi Yan, they also called you here?”

“Are you okay?” Xi Yan ran over, glancing at her up and down. “They said something about you fighting with a group of boys. You’re not hurt, are you?”

  “No, I’m fine.”

She waved her hand in dismissively.

“Why are you asking her?” Li Tian scowled. “You should be asking that to my son. He could barely move after that monster was done with him. A monster!”

A trace of surprise flashed through her face. Did that mean that Yao Tang really fought them?

Initially, when she was called over, she had assumed that this was just all another misunderstanding. After all, the height of those boys compared to Yao Tang-it just looked impossible.

She didn’t expect it to be true?

Thinking for a few seconds, she glanced at the officer. “Do you mind informing me of the full situation?”

“Yao Tang had intentionally hurt this group of young men,” he responded, pointing at all the pictures sitting on the desk. “She has committed an act of school violence, and we’re still deciding what consequences she’ll be facing. She’ll also have to apologize-“.

“Apologize? And why should I do that?”

Yao Tang crossed her arms over her chest, cocking up an eyebrow.

“You’ve committed a grave offense,” the officer snapped. “Have you not realized your mistakes”

He had initially thought of giving this girl a lighter sentence. However, upon hearing her point of view, he couldn’t help but grit his teeth in annoyance.

This matter was already hard to predict as is.

“If I can produce evidence to prove that they were the ones who had every intention of beating me, will they have the same punishment?” Yao Tang took a step forward, leveling with the police officer. “Will they also have to apologize to me?”

A shiver shot down his spine at the sight of her cold dark eyes.

He suppressed the feeling and nodded. “Of course. If you have evidence that they had attacked you first, then your actions will simply fall under self-defense. This matter will be entirely different.”

Xi Yan gazed at her worriedly. Even if she had truly fought back, this wouldn’t be a good thing for Yao Tang’s reputation.

Offending the Li Family could easily equate to a difficult time in this city.

Yao Tang didn’t even hesitate as she handed the USB to the police officer. “Then all the evidence you need is right here.” She shrugged, taking a step back. “All right.” Officer Zhang Xin grabbed the USB drive from her and walked to the projector in the middle of the hall. He plugged the drive into the mainframe and zoomed in.

Then he stepped aside to let the people see everything that had just transpired.

  The screen flashed to life.

Yao Tang was standing by the garden.

She was wearing her headphones, and she didn’t have any dangerous items on her.

Li Tao, on the other hand, was holding a stick-the same stick they had seen Yao Tang holding in the video. He said a few words to his men. They didn’t really know what he was saying, but it was obvious he wasn’t inviting these men to a tea party.

After a while, they appeared in the garden near the teacher’s building.

Then, they saw the group of familiar boys-all of whose pictures were laid on the table-approaching Yao Tang with wooden sticks in their hands.

The video was blurry, but the scene was obvious.

It was Li Tao who had attacked her first. She simply defended herself.

The entire hall was quiet. The parents, who had been so loud in the name of justice, couldn’t even speak for her. They shamefully gazed at the ground, too embarrassed to look her in the eye.

They didn’t expect that the girl was fighting to protect herself.

If it hadn’t been for her skills, they would’ve beaten her up!

Xi Yan finally understood the situation. Her student was not the perpetrator, but rather, the victim!

Only the victim had the right to seek justice. They should be the ones apologizing to her, not the other way around. If it weren’t for her skills, she would’ve been easily trampled by these people.

“Now, the police should be seeking justice for me, right?” Yao Tang said casually. “Since I’m the victim, I request you to open a full investigation regarding this matter to stop the school violence.”

The police officer remained silent, not exactly knowing what to say.

He didn’t expect it to turn the other way around.

The evidence was all there, and there was nothing left to say.

“Mr. Li,” the officer addressed. “I’m sorry, but our police station would have to arrest your son as well as the other students who had joined in on the fight. For them to gang up on just one girl-justice must be served.”

Li Tian’s face immediately morphed from anger to embarrassment. He opened his mouth, about to say something, but changed his mind. Instead, he simply shot the girl a glare and stomped away.
