Even Meng Yang, who was usually unbothered by these situations, couldn’t help but feel that something was wrong. Not wanting to ask Yao Tang, he poked Xiao Pang who was sitting right in front of him. “What’s wrong?”

Xiao Pang pointed at his phone in response.

He didn’t even wait for his permission, snatching his phone from his friend’s hand. He read all the forum posts quickly.

Lin Xin who had already read the comments couldn’t help but glance over at Yao Tang. She couldn’t help but feel uneasy by the words popping up in the forum.

  “These people really are ridiculous!”

Within a few seconds, Meng Yang punched the table. A loud bang echoed across the classroom, and everyone jumped from their seats.

His face was beet red, and his eyes were dark with rage. Fingers digging into his palms, he spat. Everyone backed away, afraid that the young master would pour his anger out on them.

Even Xiao Pang cautiously glanced at his phone, afraid that he’d smash it to pieces.

“We know the post isn’t true,” Chu Yao tried to comfort, rubbing his head. “But that’s not the issue. The issue is how we have to make others believe in her and not this stupid post.”

Now, the entire school was against her. Even a few people from Class 20 would believe it.

There were a few people right now glancing in Yao Tang’s direction, with an unreadable emotion in their eyes. His stomach twisted. She certainly would be facing quite a rude awakening

Speak of the devil. As if she had read his thoughts, Yao Tang slowly opened her eyes. “What’s with all the noise?”

Her voice was filled with anger.

Everyone immediately lowered their heads and started to write, not daring to make another sound.

“Sister Tang.” Knowing that Meng Yang couldn’t hide it from her any longer, he handed Xiao Pang’s phone. “Look at this.”

Even Lin Xin was peeking her head, afraid as to how the teen would react.

In Class One, the entire classroom was in utter chaos. Everyone was talking about the anonymous post, and their faces had morphed into disgust for the supposed “school belle”.

“Did you hear about Yao Tang being escorted by some old man?”

  “What is that about?”

“Let’s see how she fares now with all the boys hating on her. She really is some sort of jinx.” One sneered. “She really should be kicked out of No. 1 High School.”

The girls were whispering in the back row. All of them were glancing at their phones in mockery.

Yao Ran, who had been listening attentively this entire time, leaned back against her seat. Mouth twitching, she addressed the teacher beside her. “Teacher, may I go to the restroom?”

Teacher Liu, who was assigned to supervise the evening self-study, glanced up at the student and smiled. “Of course, go ahead.”

Yao Ran, after all, had always been a teacher’s favorite. She was as smart as she was kind. Who wouldn’t want to praise her?

As soon as she had finally stepped out of the classroom, she immediately grinned. She raced into the restroom and pulled out her phone, logging onto the forum.

As expected, Yao Tang’s picture was trending.

The smile on her face widened, and she laughed. Her harsh cackles echoed across the restroom. Gone was the kind and compassionate expression she usually had. Instead, it was soon replaced with something so dark and vindictive.

“Yao Tang,” she whispered crazily. “You’re done for!”

“Someone posted in the forum again!” Everyone immediately opened their phones and read the new post. Within a few seconds, their faces darkened even further, and the entire school erupted into a heated discussion.

“I didn’t expect Yao Tang’s situation to be so pitiful! But really, there are better ways to go about this than selling your body, right?”

“Ergh, such a beautiful girl, and she’s wasting it by selling herself for the last four years!”

“God, I feel like I want to vomit!”

Under the post, the number of comments grew by hundreds. Almost everyone was spouting vulgarities. And it was all because of the new post.

The post had been uploaded by none other than Yao Ran, which stated, “Actually, things aren’t what you think Yao Tang did not walk down this path because of her pride and arrogance. She had lost her parents when she was young and had been living with her grandparents this entire time. Who else was there to offer moral guidance for her…misadventures? This was her only way to earn some extra income.”

“It’s not her fault. After all, ever since she had become a student here, she needed to support herself even in the midst of these extravagant tuition fees. It’s a pity, however, that her body was no longer what it used to be. Occasionally, I’ll even see her taking some pills-I just don’t understand what they were for. Please, don’t be too harsh on her.”

The message only confirmed the rumors.

Everyone cursed at the vulgarities, disparaging Yao Tang’s reputation even further.

“Sister Tang, don’t be angry or you’ll fall right into their trap!”

Meng Yang immediately stood in front of Yao Tangto block her direction. His eyes were pleading

He knew exactly what she was capable of. If she really got angry, then she’d turn the entire school upside-down.
