"Why won’t she come out?" Kang Lin a.k.a. Lin Qingge growled in anger. News about her relationship with Lu Yifeng and her upcoming marriage to him was spreading like wildfire around the country for the past three months and yet Xia Meilin was still in hiding. How can she possibly flaunt her relationship with Lu Yifeng to Xia Meilin if she won’t come out?

  Yong Biqi couldn’t help but ponder about her daughter and the Xia elders. Even after hearing the news, the Xia elders were still quiet and Xia Meilin was still not showing herself. Was it because of the fact that the Xia family is afraid to go against the Lu family or was it because of something else?

  She scrolled down her iPad before she turned to Kang Lin. "It’s about time to release the video and bring Lu Yifeng down."

  Kang Lin suddenly looked hesitant when she heard what Yong Biqi said. "I’m going to marry Lu Yifeng at the end of next month. If I release the video…… our relationship will be over. Besides, we have his son, right? There’s no need to worry, he will surely do whatever we want."

  Yong Biqi narrowed her eyes, "Who do you think will he choose more? His son or his wife?"

  "Honey, calm down." A handsome middle-aged man said as he cuddled Yong Biqi from the side.

  Feng Huiqing smiled and kissed her by her neck. "Everything will go smoothly just like what you want, Xia Meilin will surely come out sooner or later."

  Yong Biqi sighed heavily before she turned to Kang Lin. "Go home and tell Lu Yifeng to divorce Xia Meilin if not, then his son’s head will be on his doorstep the next day."

  Kang Lin took her purse before she stood up. "Don’t worry, I will make sure that he will divorce that bitch."——

  "Are the photos ready?" Lu Yifeng asked Su Lei through a call.

  "Yes, I have done what you’ve told me to do. Yong Biqi and Feng Huiqing would always visit the same hotel twice a week just as what Feng Ning said so it wasn’t hard for me to take photos of them together." Su Lei reported. "I have copied the video from the hotel’s surveillance camera as well. I will be sending them right now."

  "Good. If there’s anything else, report it to me immediately."

  "Yes, sir."

  After the call ended, Lu Yifeng opened his email and saw the photos and videos that Su Lei sent him. There were a couple of photos from the basement parking of the hotel. From the photos, Yong Biqi and Feng Huiqing were being intimate with each other.

  He was disturbed when he heard a knock from the door. "Come in."

  Xia Meilin entered his study, carrying a cup of coffee for him. "How’s it going?"

  "Everything is being prepared. Feng Ning was right about his father and Yong Biqi."

  "See? I told you that he will be helpful." She smiled as she gave him a cup of coffee.

  Lu Yifeng was still doubtful of Feng Ning even if he was helping them around with Yong Biqi. Was it really alright for him to help them? Didn’t he know that he’s destroying his own family by going to their side?

  It doesn’t matter if Feng Ning will betray them in the end, Lu Yifeng has prepared something against him just in case he will change his mind.

  Xia Meilin went to massage his shoulders, "What are you thinking, Mr. Lu?"

  "Nothing."

  "It doesn’t look like nothing." She turned to his laptop and saw the photos. "I can’t wait for Yong Biqi to disappear from our lives."

  "It won’t be easy. This is not enough to destroy her." He said before he took a sip on his drink. "Our goal is to put her in prison once and for all."

  Xia Meilin closed her eyes as she hugged him from behind. Who would have thought that Lu Yifeng; the man she hated in her past will be the man that she will love the most? He was always there for her, even now that she was facing a huge family problem.

  "Yifeng……" She hugged him from behind. "Thank you for being here for me."

  He placed the cup on his desk before he placed his hand on her arm. "I’m your husband, I should be here for you, right?"

  She closed her eyes. "Mm…… But you know, back then, I used to have a nightmare about you……"

  "Nightmare?"

  "Yes. You were treating me badly and because of it, I hated you." Although it wasn’t a dream, it was her past life. She was saying this now because she wanted to let go of her past and for her to do that, she wanted to at least tell him about it even though she was saying it in a form of a dream. "I hated you and feared you so much in that dream."

  Lu Yifeng’s smile became stiff when he heard her. He almost forgot about the past they have. If he tells her that he was the man in her past, will she still accept him?

  He closed his laptop before he unwrapped her arms from him. He turned his swivel chair and faced her with seriousness in his eyes. "I have something to tell you, Meilin."

  She blinked a few times when she saw him looking at her that way, she couldn’t help but suddenly feel nervous about it. "Yes?"

  Lu Yifeng didn’t answer her, although it’s not like he didn’t want to, he was just hesitant.

  He was a man who wasn’t scared of anything, even dying. He was willing to offer his life for her but then, the only thing he was scared of was the moment where his wife will start hating him again.

  He didn’t want to hide his past from her anymore. He told himself that he will tell her everything to her after she gives birth but now that the time has come to tell her, he was…… afraid.
