It was already late at night but Xia Meilin couldn’t sleep at all. Without Little Melon around, she feel so restless.

  She went out of her room and decided to go to the kitchen since she started to become hungry. She opened the ref and saw a whole piece of cake in there…… Oh how tempting it was to eat.

  It was her favorite mocha cake. Would it be alright if she take a piece? Well…… she was the Master’s wife, it’s her right to do anything she wants, right?

  She took out the cake and placed it on the table. She took a plate and a fork before she placed a slice of the delicious looking mocha cake on her plate.

  After finishing a piece, she took another piece and eat it. She was enjoying the cake so much that she didn’t realize someone entering the kitchen.

  Lu Yifeng was surprised to see Xia Meilin awake at this time of the night, eating the cake he bought earlier. Although he bought the cake for her and Little Melon, she was stuffing her mouth with it like a squirrel.

  He cleared his throat. "You shouldn’t eat too much of it. It’s not good for your health."

  Xia Meilin was startled when she heard Lu Yifeng’s voice. She turned and saw him standing by the kitchen’s entrance.

  He went in and poured a glass of water for her. "Here, you should drink a lot of water after you finish that."

  He took the rest of the cake and placed it back in the ref.

  "W-why are you still awake?" Xia Meilin asked nervously as she followed him with her eyes.

  "Can’t sleep." He simply said before he started preparing a coffee for himself.

  Xia Meilin noticed his bandaged left hand. "Your hand……"

  It was fine earlier so why was it wounded now? "What happened?"

  "An accident." He went and sat on the chair beside her after he prepared his coffee.

  She stared at his hand for a while before she turned back to look at the half eaten slice of cake on her plate. Wasn’t she planning to talk to him about what happened four years ago? This was the perfect chance she has. They were all alone and no one will interfere their chat, but…… how should she start it?

  Was she uncomfortable of his presence? Lu Yifeng thought. He was sadden by this but since he doesn’t want to suffocate her by his presence, he stood up.

  Seeing that he was about to leave, Xia Meilin panicked. She quickly grabbed the edge of his shirt. "W-Wait!"

  He paused and turned to her, he was a bit surprised when she stopped him. "Yes?"

  She didn’t know what to say right now but she didn’t want him to go yet. She clenched his shirt tight. "Stay…… Accompany me for a while……" This was the only thing she can come up with.

  He blinked a few times. A miniscule smile appeared on his lips after seeing that she doesn’t want him to leave. He went back to his seat.

  When he did, she let go of his shirt. No one spoke for quite a while. They were both quiet and it was quite deafening for Xia Meilin. She needs to speak!

  She took a deep breath before she finally opened her mouth as she faced him. "I…… want to talk to you about something……"

  Lu Yifeng, who was patiently sitting beside her finally turned to her. "Mm. You can ask me anything, I will honestly answer it……"

  She pursed her lips as she stared at his calm face. She turned away. "It’s about…… what happened that night…… I am so confused right now…… From how you act, I can tell that you’re a person who doesn’t force himself to a woman so…… that night…… why me?"

  She was wrong…… He was a man who would force himself to someone when he has set his eyes on that person…… that was what he was like in his previous life. He forced himself to her and did things that made her hate him.

  He looked at the cup of coffee that he was holding. "I entered the room and you seduced me that night."

  She frowned when she heard his answer. "I never seduced you! I was drugged and brought to that place!"

  "You know me." He cut in and faced her, looking straight in her eyes. "What benefit will I gain from lying to you? There are plenty of women that’s more beautiful and attractive than you but I never touched them nor give them my time. That night, if I know that you were drugged, I could have brought you to the hospital. But that did not came in my mind.
