After they had made their way into the wasteland, the sound of hooves and shouts from behind gradually disappeared as well. It seemed like nobody dared to come and offer themselves to Death anymore. Now that only the cool breeze was left enveloping the two of them, the surrounding suddenly turned quiet and tranquil. Undine who was awakened by the cold wind was no longer as excited as she was just now. Looking at the tipis that were burning brightly in the distant till they slowly became small like stars and finally disappeared from her sight, she cried with relief, “I finally made my escape! I can’t believe it! This is almost like a dream……”

As soon as she finished her words, a thought flashed past her mind. Quickly, she leaned back on Baiyi’s back and whispered, “Unfortunately, my uncle……”

“He’s safe, don’t worry,” Baiyi reassured her. He was afraid that the idiotic girl would suddenly want to go back to rescue her Soul Armature and create more trouble to him.

“Stinky bastard, you saved him, too? Oh, that’s wonderful!” Undine exclaimed in delight. Instantly, she became excited again. With her recovered strength, she twisted her body here and there trying to express the thrill and joy that she felt in her heart. But due to being tied tightly by Baiyi earlier, she could not move an inch at all.

“Hey, nobody’s chasing us anymore so let me down first, alright? I’m feeling uncomfortable……” Using her elbow, Undine poked Baiyi’s back as she whispered in a low voice with a slight hint of embarrassment in it.

Looking at the current situation of how they were both sharing the same horse, if Baiyi really did untie her and let her loose, then she would either be sitting in front of him while being hugged from behind or she would sit behind and hug him. No matter which option she chose, Lady Undine, whose heart was beating really fast, would be more than happy with either one of the options.

Unfortunately, Baiyi was the one who could not accept those two options. Immediately, he snapped, “Sit properly! There’s still one enemy behind us!”

“H-Huh wha……” Startled, Undine began to ask but before she could finish her sentence, she could instantly feel an intense sense of danger enveloping her whole being. Followed by the sudden charge of huge force behind her, she could feel herself being lifted up from the horse as Baiyi leapt from the horse and did a somersault in the air.

By the time Undine lowered her head to catch a glimpse of what was going on, she saw a flash of red light suddenly appeared from mid-air shooting down towards the ground, just a few inches from where her head was previously, and cut the poor horse into two. Instantly, blood gushed out like a fountain from the horse but that did not stop the light from going forward. The ground seemed to be unable to stop the light as well, as the red ray of light continued to make its way forward, all the way to the distant before it finally came to a halt.

By the time Baiyi had landed on the ground with Undine on his back, the ground that he was stepping on was no longer the lush green grass, instead, it was a deep chasm that was freshly plowed by that red ray of light, it was so long that the end had disappeared into the distant darkness. At the other end of the chasm stood a silhouette that continuously emitted a red ray of light.

Baiyi looked at the chasm beneath his feet and as usual, the cut the sword made was smooth and neat. It seemed like the sword was indeed as the Archmage had predicted, it appeared to have some sort of power that allowed it to cut through space. Or could it be that it had some other power that had to do with the Law of Space?

Since it involved the Law, and it so happened that the Law of Space was one of the important Laws, it was certainly a must for Baiyi to obtain the sword. Regrettably, his opponent did not seem to be an easy one. The attack earlier was a high-speed attack that she launched in mid-air, putting the power of the sword aside, just the ability to create such a huge chasm on the ground was extraordinary, almost as if she was the God herself. What was more impressive was the high speed of that attack that Baiyi narrowly escaped by a whisker. If it wasn’t for the fact that the sense of being targeted disappeared all of a sudden which made him suspect that the opponent might cast an attack at any given time and prompted him to make the leap as a method of defense, he would most likely be unable to dodge that terrifying attack just now.

The high-speed attack was no doubt very powerful, even to the Voidwalker’s standard. No wonder the girl was so confident in herself. Then again, it looked like the attack could not be unleashed as easily as she liked. Although there was quite a huge distance between them, not mentioning the darkness as well, Baiyi could vaguely see a slight tremble on the silhouette that was fully enveloped in red light. That must be the King trying to gasp for breaths after that exhausting attack.

In order to confirm his own speculation, Baiyi asked the Caveman in the Void,

“It was not easy for me too! I didn’t fully dodge it the first time so I was slightly injured at first. I mostly used my reflex and judgement to avoid the rest of the attacks but everytime, I would still be subjected to some injuries. It was a good thing that I’m physically strong, coupled with the fact that this attack could not be launched in succession, I managed to make it out of the battle alive, otherwise, I’d probably lost that day. That was the most thrilling battle I ever had, and also the battle where I suffered the most injuries,” The Caveman replied honestly.

“How did you win after that?” The knight, who was usually taciturn, also had his interest aroused by the earth-shattering battle. In awe, he asked without beating around the bush. After all, just like that little girl King, he wielded a sword, too.

“This move consumes a high amount of power so the user needs quite a long time to recuperate after it has been launched. Seizing the opportunity, I gave it my all, doing my Chopslay, Karate, Taekwando, you name it, all sorts of techniques and that King could only keep using his sword to fend off my physical attacks. When I noticed that he was ready to launch another high-speed attack, I threw myself to the ground and rolled all over the place to evade that attack. Then, when he needed to rest again, I collected big stones from the ground and threw it at him non-stop. Because of that, he suffered quite a lot of injuries as well. Not daring to continue the fight with me anymore, he fled and I also did not dare to pursue him. So yeah, that’s basically it,” The Caveman told the story in an awkward manner, “In short, I was completely baffled by that fight, I looked really uncool. That is why I didn’t show you this part of my memory.”

The Huskar, who had always been a mighty and indomitable person who could even take on a gigantic dragon as if it was just a little lizard, had that kind of day, too? Truly as he said, it was indeed very uncool. Baiyi could understand the reasoning he had for not wanting to share that part of his memory, just like how he did not want to share the memories of himself playing ero games or his moments with his right hand when he was still alive.

Baiyi said in the Void, at the same time, he began to transform the energy that was flowing continuously into his body from the Void into his real essential energy, the black Void Energy.

  Baiyi added.

The Paladin, the person who was the most familiar with the Church’s measures, was currently bound by the Silence Spell due to his ‘gentleman’s speech’ earlier. For that reason, nobody else in the Void stepped forward to oppose his idea.

At that moment, Undine who was tightly bound behind him was watching a few strands of pale blue hair slowly falling from mid-air, those were her hair that was cut off by the War God’s Sword’s high-speed attack earlier. In an instance, she realized who the opponent was, and quickly, she opened her mouth to warn Baiyi, “You have to be careful, stinky bastard! That’s the King of the Steppe Barbarians! The sword that she’s holding in her hand is

  powerful!”

“Thank you for reminding me,” Baiyi whispered, at the same time, he struck his hand on a soft point on her neck. Almost instantly, her body turned limp as she fell unconscious on the spot. She was in an excited state and with her innate capability that was higher than Mia and Tisdale, a Hypnosis spell would not work very well on her well. That was the only way to let her sleep for a while.

At that moment, the young King finally managed to catch her breath. That attack had undeniably consumed a huge amount of power from her body. Not only that, her opponent had managed to dodge the attack and that had turned the situation unfavorable for herself. With no other choice, she forcibly took huge strides forward and closed the distance between Baiyi and her. With the standard common language, she used the calmest voice that she could summon at the moment as she asked, “I can’t believe you were able to dodge my attack! Looks like you’re quite strong yourself, too. Then again, I wonder how you would do with the second one? Are you going to evade it this time, too?”

Baiyi could barely contain his laughter,

The Archmage interjected in the Void, “Eh? This sword is actually made by red ray of light? And here I thought that it’s made by red, yellow and blue these three colors. Did I make a mistake somewhere?”

Baiyi shouted out loud at his unscrupulous teacher.

“Er…… Although I don’t really know what Sir Archmage imagined her to be, but somehow I feel like she looks a lot like a Sith Lord

, no?” The Thane gave his opinion out all the blue.

  Baiyi asked.

“Oh, I do have some ideas about this. I suggest that you should not make the first move. Use your Psychic Energy to probe her and check her body thoroughly. Let me know ’cause I have some suspicions that I need to confirm,” The Archmage suddenly said.

  Baiyi sighed exasperatedly.

“No, no, no, trust me this time, my dear disciple! I suspect that she

have something to do with the Law itself. There’s a big possibility that she can become our second summoner, too. You really have to be patient this time!” The Archmage advised.

  Baiyi thought to himself.

As for her being the second summoner, well, Baiyi was not particularly bothered about it. The Voidwalkers had not thoroughly studied Mia yet and it’s impractical for them to want to get their hands on a second one!

After he had sorted out his thoughts, Baiyi cast aside the idea of killing the young girl and directed his Psychic Energy towards her.
