In just a short amount of time, the time it took them to complete their battle song, the 50-men calvary squad was completely annihilated. Other than the horses that hastily ran away, none of the Steppe Barbarians managed to leave the battle alive. If the squad was facing a normal rescue team, then they would most likely win the fight but in front of the Divine Warriors, the barbarians stood no chance at all. Even supposing the squad had chose to flee the instance they laid eyes on the Divine Warriors, their horses would still never be able to outrun the goats. Not only that, the mighty spears that had a force that was similar to a ballista were inevasible as well. Even Baiyi had joined in the fight by throwing a few spears , borrowed from Zar’Zar, at the enemy.

“As usual, these ants are still

weak!” Riding on his goat, Zar’Zar pulled out his spears one by one from the ground while he muttered. A thought flashed across his mind suddenly and he quickly turned back and waved his hand towards Baiyi before yelling out loudly, “HEY! Brother Hope! I won this round!”

Baiyi rolled his eyes inwardly, at the same time, carefully stroking the backs of both Mia and Tisdale. The two girls had almost thrown up just watching the bloodshed that had unfolded in front of their eyes. Well, who could blame them anyway? It was the first time they witnessed such bloody violence after all.

“I thought you guys have already prepared yourselves mentally,” Baiyi whispered to the both of them.

“.…… I-I’m okay,” With a pale look on her face, Tisdale replied. Yes, it was indeed true that she had prepared herself mentally but to actually see a real life person smashed into a bloody pulp? Well, it was still slightly beyond her mental endurance range.

“Urghhh……” Mia did not say anything. Instead, with a slight look of discomfort on her face, she shut her eyes tight and snuggled against Baiyi’s chest, like a kitty asking for affection.

No doubt, Baiyi was pleased with them. Now that they had both become his students, he was sure that it would be inevitable for them to face more bloodsheds in the future. It was okay for them to

be keen about killing but they absolutely could not be afraid of killing.

On the contrary, the few adult men looked more ill at ease from the scene. The chaplain had his eyes shut tight while muttering something, the three Zhang brothers looked nauseous and was close to throwing up again. Only the defense fighter who was the most experienced in combat battle quietly said, “.…… T-They are really…… really terrifying! 3 to 50! That was

The other party did not even h-have the chance to fight back…… It was as if t-these Divine Warriors exist for the sake of war!”

“F-Fortunately there are not many of them, otherwise I’m afraid I’d have to learn the barbarian language too,” Xillians chimed in.

In just such a short time, the valiant strength of the Divine Warriors had left an unforgettable memory deep in those people’s mind.

By the time Zar’Zar was done retrieving all of his spears and called back his Alpine hawk-eagle, Cuckoo, all of them was still discussing the incident earlier as they continued to move forward to their destination. According to Baiyi’s previous plan, they needed to reach a place that was close to the Steppe Barbarian King’s tipi before dawn so that he could carry out his next step easily but the sudden appearance of the cavalry squad suddenly brought a small change to his plan.

“Hey, bro, Cuckoo told me that they have not noticed our presence yet. Should we take this opportunity and annihilate all of them?” Zar’Zar reported to Baiyi and Huskar excitedly.

“They will soon notice the disappearance of the cavalry squad. Let’s not be hasty. We’ll stay here first for tonight,” Baiyi took out a map and pointed at a place that was about 50 miles away from the King’s tipi.

“I don’t get it,” Char’Char scratched his head in puzzlement, “Why don’t we just charge into their tipis and kill them all since they are all so weak anyway?”

“Because our mission this time is to

  a person,

to kill!” Baiyi explained to him in slightly exasperated tone before he turned to the back and nodded his head towards the Southerners, “Not to mention that we have

with us right now. We can’t just simply barge into the enemy’s territory just like that!”
……

Brother Hope, why did you bring them in the first place? Isn’t it better to leave them in Harrogath?” Char’Char queried again.

“I have other arrangements for them,” Baiyi brushed it off. Actually the purpose he brough the group of people along was very simple. It was because Harrogath was a much more dangerous place for them than coming on the expedition. Who knows, maybe when the barbarians came in contact with them, they might get too excited and accidentally kill them just by a light pat on the shoulder?

Now that he had managed to convince Char’Char, and since Huskar did not oppose Baiyi’s decision as well, the team rushed to the place that Baiyi had pointed out and set up some tipis and bonfires so that they could get a good night rest. The three Divine Warriors lay lazily on the grass, enjoying the view of the sky that was different from what they usually saw on the mountains.

“The sky here is so broad! And without those mountains, I get to see very far away too!” Huskar exclaimed as he casually reached out and plucked a stalk of grass and put it into his mouth, “Hmmm, the taste of the grass is different as well! As I thought, going out for a walk once in a while is indeed very pleasant. I still have more place that I want to go for sightseeing!”

Baiyi shouted in his heart, his mind quickly searching up and down for some ideas to discourage him of that terrible,

  idea!

Fortunately, as a Huskar, he always had his duty in his heart. Almost instantly, he shook his head and uttered words that made Baiyi sighed with relief after hearing them, “But my duty is protecting Harrogath, I can’t go too far away.”

Baiyi’s relief was short-lived as immediately, Huskar added again, “But, Zar’Zar and Char’Char, you guys can go out and see more of what the world has to offer! After a new Divine Warrior is born, I’ll tell the ancestors about it.”

  Baiyi snapped underneath his breath.

After a few seconds, he shook his head and quickly cast aside the unrealistic fantasy. It would be better to keep the terrifying Divine Warriors in Harrogath instead of going around scaring people to death. It would not be good for everyone.

Just as he was about to open his mouth to refute Huskar, Cuckoo the Alpine hawk-eagle suddenly descended from the sky and landed on Zar’Zar’s head. The two of them stared into each other’s eyes for a while before the bird shook its head, waggled its tail and flapped its wing lightly.

“Cuckoo said that the Steppe Barbarians just found the group of dead cavalries. They’re sending people over to do some searching now,” Zar’Zar translated for them.

“There’s no need for us to worry,” Baiyi lifted his head to look at the sky, “It’s going to get dark very soon. They will not dare to broaden their search area hastily in the dark. We can still get a good rest tonight.”

Sure enough, as he expected, the Steppe Barbarian did not dare to search too far away from their dwellings. They only made a thorough search around the King’s tipi and did not dare to act recklessly. The conservative action managed to give the rescue team a good sleep.

The next day, Baiyi took out the two Soul Boosters and gave one piece to Mia while storing one in his own stomach. Then, he announced his plan to the crowd, “Okay, guys, this is our plan. We’re going to split into two teams, the Divine Warriors and I will go rescue Undine and the rest of you will continue to make your way west for another twenty miles. Wait for me right there,” Baiyi pointed on the map.

“We will not be with you guys but the west is the territory of the Alpine Barbarians. The Steppe Barbarians will not show up there so you will be very safe over there. Take the goats with you and if you encounter any danger, run down to the foot of the mountain where the outpost of the Alpine Barbarians lies. The Steppe Barbarians will not dare to go close to that place,” Baiyi added. Seeing the worried look on the faces of the rest of the team, he reassured, “Don’t worry, most of the Steppe Barbarians’ attention would be focused on the four of us so they will not have any extra energy left to disturb you all.”

“We’re not worried about ourselves, we’re worried about

, Sir!” Tisdale corrected him quickly.

“Me? There’s nothing to be worried about me! With the three of them by my side, I’m much safer than you guys are,” Baiyi replied confidently. Then, putting on an impatient facade, he waved his hand and said, “Alright, alright, just go now! Stop wasting time!”

With the same worried look as Mia, Tisdale climbed up the goat and began to make their way towards the direction Baiyi pointedd out. Just as the defense fighter and Xillian were about to leave as well, Baiyi called them out to stop them.

“I need you guys to protect Mia and Tisdale with all your might. You two must protect them even at the cost of your lives!” In an exceptionally serious tone, he ordered them rather than asking them for favor. It would be the first time he would be so far away from Mia’s side. To be honest, there was still a small amount of anxiety in his heart.

“Understood!” The defense warrior nodded his head, “I won’t let any danger go near them!”

“Good! Remember to remind Mia that if she encounter any danger, she

always hold that hammerheard shark plushie in her arms!” Baiyi gave his last order before he leapt on his goat, making his way towards the Divine Warriors that were waiting for him in the far distance.

hammerhead shark plushie? What’s the use of that shabby doll?” Xillians could not comprehend it at all. Before, he had seen Mia holding up the plushie and rubbing her face against it continuously— yes, it was quite a lovely scene— but why did she need to take it out during danger? To let the enemies

  to death by its cuteness?

Just like that, Baiyi parted ways with the rest of them as he continued to make his way towards the Steppe Barbarians King’s tipi with the three Divine Warriors. Along the way, they came across many scouts from the Steppe Barbarians but at Baiyi’s request, the three warriors did not take any action against them and let them return in one piece instead.

Soon, a 500-men cavalry phalanx blocked his way, they waited for him to come forward to have a chat.
