Chapter 35

One was a walking gold mine and the other was an exquisitely dressed beauty. The two Legendary Level fighters actually abandoned their morality and sense of honor in order to fight with a mere Intermediate Level. How shameless of them! What was even more bizzare was when the black Soul Armature pretended to be humble and modest by telling Baiyi, “In order to be

, we will let you rest for a while.”

As he finished saying that, he quickly whispered to his partner, “Hurry! Sprinkle

on me! My Chi Prowess is insufficient now!

“WHAT? YOU!” Undine was ashamed and frustrated at the same time. But still, what else could she do? That unscrupulous guy was after all her own flesh and blood, her uncle specifically. Although he did not really have the look or conduct of an elder…… Sighing, she had no choice but to take out a small bag from her pocket and sprinkled the content of the bag— some sort of salt-like substance— onto the black Soul Armature. It was actually the spinal cord of the monster Behemoth. After it was air-dried and ground to powder, just a little sprinkle on the body would help to recover the user’s Chi Prowess. It was quite an expensive tonic. Just a small tiny bag— one-time usage only— cost around two thousands gold coins. Adding on to the usage of the Dragon Blood Magical Runes earlier, the fight had already cost Undine several thousand gold coins.

What made her more embarrassed was that despite the fact that he had spent such a large amount of money, he still could not settle things out with that guy. In the end, she was even forced to join in the battle herself. What could possibly be more embarrassing than that?

However, the black Soul Armature apparently did not care about things such as the honor of a fighter. Instead, he even gloated unabashedly, “With his present strength, I’m pretty confident that he is a powerful Chiliarch-tier Dragon Knight. You better be preparedfor the sudden emergence of a dragon!”

Without a doubt, Baiyi heard his words as well. He was quite dumbfounded but found it funny at the same time.

Raising his head up to look at the sky again, he noticed that Mia’s class was almost over. Immediately, he turned to the rest of the Voidwalkers who were waiting with popcorn to watch the upcoming fight and announced,

If it wasn’t for the fact that Baiyi wanted to amuse himself and test his current combat skills at the same time, he would have used the Assassin’s escape skills to slip away a long time ago. Those two would have no chance in keeping him there. In truth, he really did not expect those two people to be so problematic, it made him lazy to play with them anymore.

That idea immediately aroused the dissatisfaction of those who were unafraid of creating chaos in the world.

  “WHAT? Are you

Sir Hope? Are you going to be forced to retreat by two

Legendary Level fighters? Are you sure you want to do such an embarrassing thing?”

“There’s no such thing as failure in a Voidwalker’s dictionary! Sir Hope, I hope you, a representative of all of us Voidwalkers, would carry everyone’s pride and honor and not run away!”

“If you really did run away, then these two people would be recorded in the history books as the only people who managed to push the Fifth Walker to his limit! Look! Don’t you think that this cost is too high? Poor Sir Hope is going to be reduced into becoming somebody else’s backdrop now!”

Baiyi cursed inwardly. Even so, he dismissed the idea of running away. If he did not settle those two people, he was sure that he would be ridiculed by the Voidwalkers for the rest of the year!

Baiyi thought as he held out his left hand to stroke the long sword that was in his right hand, all the way from the hilt to the tip of the sword. With his touch, a gleam of crimson fire lighted up the long sword, it followed the movement of his hand from the hilt to the tip. Immediately, the sword looked like it was lit by fire and the surrounding air was distorted by the sudden rise in temperature.

Baiyi waved his sword in front of him and drew a circular arc. The fire that was burning on the sword drew a fire circle in the air, it made Undine who was watching the whole scene frowned in puzzlement. Quickly, she relaxed and her face revealed a joyful and satisfied look.

  “I-Is this

Elemental Sword Skill? The unique skill that was created by the Northlanders in a variety of harsh environments?” Undine asked. In truth, there were not much of interaction between the Northlanders and the Southlanders. Even with her status and connections, she could only obtain her informations from books or records. But the guy in front of her constantly who surprised her could

use the secret technique of the Northlanders as well? That must have meant that he had spent quite some time over there and was very familiar with that strange land.

Undine’s impression of him had now turned from good to even better. Unfortunately, because of her rash, stupid Soul Armature, the situation had now turned awkward between them. Undine could not help herself from throwing a death stare towards her partner as she lowered her voice and said fiercely, “You better hold back a little! If you gave him any serious injury, I’ll DEMOLISH you!

However, not only was the black Soul Armature not bothered by the obvious favoritism, he even reminded her, “You better be careful yourself. This guy is pretty lethal. He managed to give me many scratches just with that mere sword of his.”

“Then, I guess…… Let’s do what we do best…… WATCH OUT!” Baiyi did not wait for Undine to finish her sentence as he decided not to waste any more time. A few strides and he was already rushing towards them. Along with his movements, the burning long sword on his hand drew a long burned mark in the air.

The black Soul Armature immediately stepped forward to receive the attack. His long sword unreservedly slashed towards Baiyi who seemed like he had no intention to dodge at all. Maintaining his momentum, he charged towards them as if he did not notice the black Soul Armature’s sword.

When the black Soul Armature saw that his attack was going to land, he did not feel any satisfaction instead he yelled out loudly to Undine, “Watch out! This guy knows the teleportation skill!”

As he was just about to finish his sentence, he saw that Baiyi’s figure suddenly disappeared in front of him and then instantly appeared behind him again. The burning sword unreservedly slashed towards the seemingly delicate Undine.

“Wow, you are so passionate! Unfortunately for you, I’m not an easy woman!” Undine smiled confidently. The two emerald swords that she was holding did not even attempt to block Baiyi’s attack. Instead, she turned her body sideway and with a stamp on the ground, her whole body began to spin in a high-speed rotation. Innumerable Chi Blades suddenly burst out of her and shot out towards the surrounding area. In an instance, she sealed off every opportunity of Baiyi’s attack and he had no other choice other than to use the teleportation skill to dodge her attack.

Baiyi cursed loudly in his mind.

Of course, it was not the right time to comment on some female’s underwear. The black Soul Armature would not give him the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of women’s underwear as well. Immediately, he charged forward towards Baiyi and Baiyi had to use the teleportation skill again.

Actually, the teleportation skill was a Level 5 magic. The user usually only had a very limited number of times that they could cast in a battle. The distance, of course, should be much farther than Baiyi’s. It was just that, currently, he was using a weaker version of the spell in order to adapt to his Mana output cap of the Intermediate Level. The version that he used allowed him to be able to cast the spell many times but in a shorter distance.

Somehow, the small little drawback had been noticed by Undine’s sharp eyes. Baiyi had just used the Teleportation Spell a moment ago to evade the black Soul Armature’s attack and immediately, a green Chi Blade was already making its way towards him, it forced him to quickly wave his long sword and to create a long fiery ripple in the air. He barely managed to destroy the Chi Blade.

Baiyi could not help but nod in amazement. Once again, he waved the long sword in front of him, the flame of the sword was stretched out under his control and took the form of a fiery whip. The whip accurately lashed out on the black Soul Armature who was charging towards him, forcing him to pause momentarily in his track. With this opportunity, Baiyi quickly gave the him the slip and dodge the incoming Chi Blades that was sent by Undine once again.

The plan of those two imbeciles was actually very simple. The hard and rough black soul Armature was responsible for distracting the opponent while the relatively weaker Undine was at the back in charged of long-range attack by releasing high-speed Chi Blade.

Baiyi wondered as he barely evaded the stream of Chi Prowess that was coming for him again, just like the bullets of a machine gun. He threw a glance towards Undine and just in time, he saw her gulped down a red bottle of Chi Restoration Potion. Even though the potion was not as effective as the Behemoth’s Spinal Powder, but at least it was enough to support her for this tactic.

Baiyi really did not understand them at all.

In reality, there was an old family saying in the Dole family:

Even though Undine was a little shameless in the battle right now but at least she was serious in upholding her family’s teaching……

Baiyi queried the other Voidwalkers. Just as expected, he was given all sorts of random suggestions again. There was one who told him to summon a devil; and another asked him to transform into a death rider; one told him to use his chopslay technique; and one, even asked him to find a way to make Undine do her rotation again……

In desperation, Baiyi decided to stop changing the Void Energy that was flowing endlessly to his body into Mana or Chi Prowess. He had decided to use his own

  strength.
