Chapter 305: Soul Nebula, Holy Land for Self-Cultivation
writer:The Little Panda      update:2022-07-12 13:52
Traveling to distant space was just a piece of cake for the Leoux, but 2.78 million light-years was still too far a distance.

The distance was so great that it took the Leoux a few days to reach its destination.

While the Leoux flew in the vacuum of space, Ling Jiu approached the self-cultivation room.

There were many self-cultivation rooms aboard the Leoux, and they were divided into five levels:

  Primary self-cultivation rooms.

  Intermediate self-cultivation rooms.

  Advanced self-cultivation rooms.

  Primary self-cultivation rooms.

  Premier self-cultivation rooms.

  Special self-cultivation rooms.

There was a rich concentration of Dark bio-energy in the self-cultivation room, and cultivators could access the book of laws at any time, making self-cultivation highly effective.

Of course, the greatest value of the self-cultivation rooms lay in the flow of time.

As the top bio-energy civilization in the universe, the Emissian civilization was still in the early stages of studying the Law of Time. Nonetheless, it could completely control time locally.

Just like being around a white hole, the flow of time in the self-cultivation rooms at each level was different. The primary level was the slowest, the special level was the fastest, and the special level had the best self-cultivation effect.

As the owner of the Leoux, Ling Jiu could enter the special self-cultivation room. He was in no hurry to practice self-cultivation.

Instead, he looked into himself, letting his mind sink into the sea of consciousness.

The Soul Collecting Array was still absorbing an enormous amount of dark psionic energy as a massive soul nebula formed around the Kindle of the Soul.

How large was the soul nebula?

Ling Jiu’s estimate was that it was at least tens of thousands of kilometers in radius. Such a massive soul nebula had naturally accumulated an enormous amount of dark psionic energy.

Even so, Ling Jiu knew that this was not enough.

In Leoux’s words, the size of the soul nebula should be at least be dozens or hundreds of light-years in diameter.

Therefore, Ling Jiu needed to work hard.

  \r \r \r

“I just captured the gods of Auguland. If I can extract their souls, smash them into the purest dark psionic energy, and absorb them, my soul nebula will undergo a tremendous change in a short time.”

He told Leoux about his thoughts, and Leoux immediately smiled. “I have been so busy recently and almost forgot about that guy. Do you remember the Evogod we caught earlier on Whitehole 4?”

Ling Jiu still remembered the Evogod guy on Whitehole 4. That guy had used Mind Manipulation to control all of the living beings on Whitehole 4. Its soul was outrageously powerful.

Back then, Leoux had suggested that Ling Jiu break up the Evogod and absorb its soul to help him practice the Eight Methods of Black Hole Evolution. However, Leoux had been too busy recently and had forgotten about the matter.

“Nevertheless, I’ve thrown the Evogod’s soul into the shredder and crushed it into powder,” Leoux said. “Should I send the pulverized soul into the self-cultivation room now?”

“Send it in.” There was no reason for Ling Jiu to refuse.

  “You got it.”

After a while, a steady stream of soul fragments was sent into the self-cultivation room.

Ling Jiu could feel it although he could not see it. He activated Devourer immediately and sent the soul fragments into his Inner World.

The Inner World immediately swung into action and started the conversion process.

As the soul fragments were converted into a steady stream of dark psionic energy and sent into his sea of consciousness, the soul nebula expanded rapidly.

  One thousand kilometers……

  Five thousand kilometers……

  Eight thousand kilometers. ……

The soul of the Evogod was incredibly powerful.

Its Eight Methods of Black Hole Evolution had reached the second stage, so the dark psionic energy in its soul fragments was incredibly rich.

  Absorb……

  Convert……

A massive amount of dark psionic energy continued to pour into the sea of consciousness.

  The soul nebula was ballooning.

Ling Jiu asked Leoux to maximize the flow of time in the self-cultivation room so that he could complete the soul fragment absorption before he reached Whitehole 2.

The time flow ratio was 1: 100, which meant that a day on the outside was equal to 100 days in the self-cultivation room.

Time passed, and after Ling Jiu spent nearly two years in the self-cultivation room, soul fragments stopped pouring in. As he devoured the last soul fragment and allowed his mind to sink into the sea of consciousness, the scene in front of him shocked him.

The silverish soul nebula was so massive that he could not see its edges at a glance. He could not tell exactly how massive it was.

The long and short of it was the soul nebula was massive.

The soul nebula was akin to a giant, filling up the boundless, empty sea of consciousness. Now, the sea of consciousness was no longer empty.

  “This is my soul nebula?”

He did not know the extent of the soul nebula, but he could feel the incredibly rich dark psionic energy in it.

  It was absolutely incredible.

Each cubic centimeter contained thousands or even tens of thousands of dark psionic particles.

Leoux’s voice rang out all of a sudden. “I guess, you must have absorbed all of the Evogod’s soul fragments, Ling Jiu?”

  “Yeah,” Ling Jiu replied.

“I’ve run a calculation. The converted soul of the Evogod is equivalent to ten soul stellar units of dark psionic energy. The ten soul stellar units are enough to reach the Eight Methods of Black Hole evolution’s second stage of cultivation. It is the minimum standard for forming a Soul Primordial Star, but I don’t recommend that you do it.”

“You want me to continue to accumulate dark psionic energy to expand the soul nebula?” Ling Jiu understood what Leoux meant.

“You bet,” Leoux said. “Just like there are big and small stars in the universe, the Soul Primordial Stars have different sizes too. The Soul Primordial Stars of some Evogods are ordinary, with the mass size of one soul star unit. Some Soul Primordial Stars of the Evogods are extremely large, with the mass of hundreds or even thousands of soul stars. The larger the Soul Primordial Star, the stronger the soul and the greater the potential. So my suggestion for you is, don’t rush into forming the Soul Primordial Star. You should focus on accumulating the soul nebula first. Haven’t we wiped out the gods of Auguland? There are eleven super-clustered and over five thousand galactic beings. Their souls are not as powerful as that of the Evogods, but they can provide you with a lot of dark psionic energy.”

“I’ll just do as you say,” Ling Jiu said. “By the way, after crushing their souls, let the Nine-tailed Serpent and Nine-winged Serpent choose a body each. I will devour the rest.”

  “Understood.”

“How long before we reach Whitehole 2, Leoux?”

  “About three days.”

  “All right.”

Three days on the outside would be equal to 300 days in the self-cultivation room. Ling Jiu had plenty of time. So, he shifted his attention from the sea of consciousness to the floating island.

He had been busy moving around all this while. He had not devoured the asteroids for quite some time. The floating island had expanded little, and it was still about 14 million square kilometers in size.

However, the gardeners had not been sitting idly by.

Those brainwashed Kryptonians were still conscientiously planting super Arcana trees, and the forest continued to expand.

Ling Jiu ran a little calculation.

There had been an increase of nearly 10 million super Arcana trees, and the total number of super Arcana trees had reached a staggering 440 million.

How much more could 440 million super Arcana trees produce if the Dark Bio-energy produced by 360 million super arcana trees was enough for Ling Jiu to form a Stellar Core every day?

Since Ling Jiu had not been consuming it, the Dark Bio-energy concentration on the floating island had reached an astonishing level. White mist and clear lakes, as well as rivers, were everywhere.

They were of liquified Dark Bio-energy.

Right then, the floating island was a real holy land for self-cultivation. Even a pig could become a stellar being in a few years by doing nothing.

“As great as the floating island is, it is uninteresting.”

Chapter 306: One Thousand Years Later, the Three Major Pantheons

The floating island was indeed uninteresting apart from the super Arcana trees’ presence. That was the only thing that stood out!

Then, there was Sapling Ling and the over 300 Kryptonians.

So, Ling Jiu wondered about adding a little liveliness to the floating island by introducing some animals.

Ling Jiu was not afraid of the animals absorbing and reducing the Dark Bio-energy.

Even if the animals could attain some level of cultivation, he could crush them with just a thought and retake the Dark Bio-energy.

“I will get some animals in from now on.”

Three days had passed since then, and the Leoux finally arrived at Whitehole 2.

It felt like a lifetime ago when he last returned to this planet. He could not help but feel that way even though he had just been there a month ago.

  “Have you found them, Leoux?”

“I have. They are all here on this planet, and the many stellar beings are with them too.”

Ling Jiu breathed a sigh of relief. All he needed to know was that his family was safe.

  “Let’s go down there.”

Ling Jiu teleported to the surface of the planet silently. Nothing had changed on Whitehole 2; the forest was thriving, and the Direbeasts were roaring.

  It was wild and primitive.

Ling Jiu used Dimensional Peering and quickly discovered his family’s situation. It startled him when he found that they all had become galactic beings.

Bai Ya was a Level 6 galactic.

  Ling’er was a Level 4 galactic.

Meanwhile, his parents were a Level 2 galactics.

  \r \r \r

Even Xiaotong, who had awakened her ability last, was now a Level 1 galactic.

The most stunning of all was Wukong. He was a Level 3 super-cluster being.

Ling Jiu was as guilty as he was shocked because they did not become powerful for no reason—it only showed that they had been practicing self-cultivation for a long time.

“This is……” Bai Ya, who was practicing self-cultivation inside a maglev airship, opened her eyes and looked up at the sky all of a sudden.

She was so powerful now that she could have been a True God on Auguland.

Coupled with her Mimeograph Arcana, the accumulation of Dark Bio-energy, and the comprehension of the Law of Destruction, she had extremely keen senses.

She had sensed it the moment Ling Jiu appeared. Ling Jiu’s smell was all too familiar to her.

She could definitely smell that it was him.

She was slightly trembling, her eyes welling up at once, and tears started to slip out of her eyes.

It was tears of emotion and happiness.

She missed Ling Jiu so much.

,000 years. It had been 1,000 years.

God knows how she came through all these years. Worries and the missing of him had been tormenting her. She had forced herself to practice self-cultivation so that she could stop missing him. And it took her only 1,000 years to become a Level-6 galactic being.

The God of Light, the God of magic, and others in Auguland would have been embarrassed of themselves had they seen such an amazingly quick self-cultivation.

Bai Ya lunged out and came in front of Ling Jiu. At this moment, her longing for him building up inside her all these years burst through her emotional dam in an instant.

She wept bitterly as she threw herself into Ling Jiu’s arms.

“Where have you been? Why did you only come back now? Why did you only come back now?”

Bai Ya cried and punched Ling Jiu’s chest. As much as she was a powerful galactic being, her punches felt like tickles to him.

She was angry, emotional. But she could not bring herself to hit him hard.

He hugged her tightly in his arms, sniffing the fragrance of her hair, feeling an unprecedented peace of mind. He had a thousand words to tell her but all that were condensed into just, “I am sorry.”

After crying her heart out, she finally calmed down. She got out of Ling Jiu’s arms, looked at him, and then planted her lips onto his.

  “I want it.” ……

Eight hours later, they both collapsed.

Bai Ya leaned on Ling Jiu and gently stroked his chest. “Where have you been in the past one thousand years, Honey?”

“One thousand years?” Ling Jiu was stunned. He then remembered that the six minutes he spent on the planet on the edge of the black hole was equivalent to 891 years in the outside world. He had also spent some time in Auguland and then gone back to Earth before coming to Whitehole-2.

That added up to 1,000 years on Whitehole-2.

“I went to a place called Auguland,” Ling Jiu said. “Speaking of which, it was funny. At first, I went to Europa. When I was there, the elders of Merpeople tricked me, exiling me to Auguland. And in Auguland, I accidentally traveled to a planet on the edge of a black hole.”

Bai Ya’s heart skipped a beat when she heard what he said. “Nine days per second. Nine years have since passed on Earth in just six seconds. The universe is truly amazing.”

“It sure is.” Ling Jiu sighed. “Now I have finally experienced what it is like when people wake up from a nap in heaven and find that a thousand years have passed on Earth. When I hurried back, Earth was no longer the Earth I knew.”

  “How is Earth now?”

Bai Ya asked. It had been 500 years since she left Earth. She had not heard news about Earth since then, and so she was concerned.

“Things are terrible.” Ling Jiu shook his head. “The major pantheons are born. Except for Huaxia and America, which remain independent, other countries have fallen into the hands of the gods.”

“I knew it,” Bai Ya said quietly. “Back then, the gods were menacing, especially the Norse, Greek, and Egyptian gods. They were extremely powerful, and the world needed to gather all their strengths to fight back. We are no match for them when they all come at once.”

“Not forgetting the minor gods, too. They are having a field day on Earth. We simply can’t fight them.”

“The most disappointing thing is that people are not united.” Bai Ya sounded angry. “When the gods first appeared, everyone—be it the stellar beings or the governments—were still united. But as Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, and other European countries fell into the hands of the Greek and Norse gods, many stellar beings and corporations turned their backs against humanity. That was the last straw that broke the camel’s back, causing us to fall into the defensive.”

“We will only know who our genuine friends are in a time of adversity. There is no shortage of weathercocks, nothing to be surprised about.” Ling Jiu shook his head.

“Later, the government developed a super weapon that could threaten the gods. They finally retreated, albeit reluctantly. But that also angered them more. So they hunted down the stellar beings on Earth. Some escaped, some killed. We have nowhere to go but to flee to this place.”

Ling Jiu’s eyes looked icy. He could completely feel from her words the despair that Bai Ya and others were experiencing back then. They were helpless and pursued by a group of galactic and super-clustered beings.

All they could do was live like a coward, leave their homes, no matter how reluctant they were.

“Now I’m back. I don’t care if they are gods or weathercocks, trash like them should return to where they come from.” Ling Jiu’s voice was bitter.

“I don’t mean to pour cold water on your fervent spirit, but those gods are really powerful, especially the Greek, Norse, and Egyptian gods. They are incredibly nasty,” Bai Ya said. “You have got to think twice before you take on them. I don’t want you to put yourself in danger for the sake of revenge.”
