  After seeing the strong mysterious temperament from the Aquamancer, Xin Yu didn’t dare get any closer. She did not get a good look at the weapon that the Aquamancer used to kill the Shadow Priest, thus resulting in her not being able to recognize who the “Aquamancer” was.

  Realizing that this Aquamancer was a Veteran Champion, Xin Yu had decided to mull “Operation Veteran Terminator” that Fateless and Qin Ruo secretly planned for her.

  This “operation” was planned to take out the Veteran Champions in Phase Four of the Grand Tournament. Other than that, there were only several dozen Veteran Champions, so, it was quite difficult for her to meet any one of them in the Purge Towers; the Second Phase, anyway.

  Excited by this discovery, Xin Yu immediately thought of executing “Operation Veteran Terminator”.……

  This was the first time Xin Yu faced off with a Veteran Champion; naturally, she wanted to try her hand out and see if her training with Fateless was fruitful. She also wanted to see if she could successfully assassinate anyone, maybe even the Veteran Champions, if she could keep her cool.

  “If I can pull this off…… Brother Qin would be really happy.”


  Xin Yu, eager to try out that crazy “Operation Veteran Terminator” that Fateless and Qin Ruo had intricately crafted for her, stared at the Aquamancer while clutching her dagger tightly in her hand. She was so excited and nervous that her palm was drenched with cold sweat.

  Meanwhile, Noodle Prince was able to defeat the Summoner and his pet, emerging victorious with an overwhelming advantage.

  “Phew……”


  Noodle Prince let out a sigh of relief. Then, he raised his head and looked at the other two formidable opponents.

  And he was shocked at what he saw!

  The Aquamancer was still standing completely still at the very same place he was at earlier! He did not even move a step from where he stood; his face looked as calm and cool as always. Seeing this, Noodle Prince felt a sudden chill run down his spine.

  While the other group was still clashing and butting heads, the Shadow Priest was already nowhere to be found……

  After scanning through the corpses around the Aquamancer, Noodle Prince took a deep breath and glanced at the Aquamancer again—this time, with an ounce of fear and disbelief.

  Consequently, he started to back away in caution.

  The ever-confident Noodle Prince had now wavered slightly……

  All the plans he had before killing the Summoner was now forfeited.

  This Aquamancer was powerful beyond his imagination; it would now be unwise for him to kill the victor of the other still-clashing group. In fact, he felt it was probably a better idea to work together with said victor to take out this Aquamancer!

  Honestly, after seeing the lifeless body of the Shadow Priest, thirty meters away from the Aquamancer, Noodle Prince had a hunch that he wouldn’t survive this round of battle royale.

  He could almost see himself and the other combatants in the tower falling one by one, becoming the Aquamancer’s stepping stone to the next phase of the Grand Tournament……

  Booom!!!

  A huge explosion pulled Noodle Prince out of his deep thoughts; in a blink of an eye, the Terramancer emerged victorious. This was expected. His opponent’s lifeless body was savagely impaled by a ten-meter stalagmite of a stone spike into the small swamp area.

  Qin Ruo secretly mourned for the Warrior. Yet, he also felt a slight disdain for him—he was a Warrior and yet he was so sloppy that he allowed the Terramancer to conjure up a stone spike this huge, which had ironically become his enormous tombstone!

  Nonetheless……

  Qin Ruo didn’t intend to waste time with these two survivors……

  He needed to end this quickly!

  “Roarrr!!”


  The Frost Bear let out a deafening growl as it stood up. It was taunting the Terramancer and Winged Warrior.

  Hearing this, Noodle Prince stood up from the ground and flapped his Demonic Wings to the air. He looked at both the Aquamancer and Terramancer. The latter seemed to have heard Noodle Prince’s inner voice where he quickly gulped down two bottles of potions and reactivated his Magic Barrier and Shield…… apart from that, he also took out a Mana Core and thrust some Mana into it.

  In a blink of an eye, a powerful ray of light flashed out from the Mana Core and landed next to the Terramancer and his pet……

  “Hmm?”


  Qin Ruo was surprised when he saw the new pet monster the Terramancer summoned.

  A Light-type Monster?

  As he was watching in awe, ray after ray of holy magic shone on the Terramancer’s Wind-type Elemental Ape……

  As the Elemental Ape showed a wink of enjoyment basking in the Holy Magic, Qin Ruo was able to observe through his Elemental Perception that its wounds had started to heal at a rapid rate.

  After ten seconds, the familiar-looking ray halos dropped on the Wind-type Elemental Ape and Terramancer continuously. Qin Ruo’s jaw dropped to the ground as he saw this.

  This…… this Tier 5 Light-type pet monster was functioning just like a Tier 5 Radiant Priest!

  This was so clever!

  Qin Ruo was so pissed with himself. Why hadn’t he ever thought of this?

  Dinosaurcerer had leveled up his sealing techniques so much that he appeared to have almost perfected it.

  Yet, all he did was seal away some useless specters or spiders all day. What an unimaginative hack! He should learn from this guy here…… and get a Light-type pet……

  Not only could it be used as a healer, much like having a Radiant Priest by your side, the pet could also fight for you. That would be killing two birds with one stone.

  That said…… Qin Ruo also had a moment of epiphany. What if he had a Tier 5 Archer-type monster as his pet? Then, the Tier 5 Bandit would no longer be a threat and he wouldn’t need to play this mind-chess with all the combatants in the tower now!

  Damn!

  “Stupid! I am so stupid!”


  Qin Ruo was so pissed with himself that he kept punching his own head with his fists!

  “.……the hell is he doing?”


  The other three combatants were surprised when they saw the Aquamancer knocking his own head. Then immediately, the Terramancer and Noodle Prince brought their pets and rushed towards Qin Ruo.

  When Qin Ruo killed that Shadow Priest earlier, the Terramancer was watching intently from afar. Seeing how the Shadow Priest had been fallen, the Terramancer was even more shaken than Noodle Prince.

  This was also why he decided to team up with Noodle Prince.

  Veteran Champions……

  It was such a rare thing to encounter one. It was not easy to meet one outside of the tower, what’s more, getting a chance to fight one. Of course, he wouldn’t usually opt to attack a Veteran Champion; not unless he decided to play solo and didn’t care for the in-game politics.

  The disguise system in the Purge Tower had given him a chance to butt heads with the Veteran Champion without revealing his identity.

  He wanted to experience the thrill of fighting a Veteran Champion. He wanted to experience it so much that he even willingly showed his hand—the Light-type pet monster that he originally intended to use in Phase Four of the Grand Tournament.

  If he was able to beat this Veteran Champion and survive, these efforts would definitely be worth it…… and if he died, he wouldn’t regret it anyway.

  As the Terramancer and Noodle Prince inched closer and closer, Qin Ruo’s face turned grimmer and grimmer……

  He would soon clash with a Tier 5 winged Warrior and Tier 5 Terramancer and two Tier 5 pet monsters. This battle was much more difficult than butting heads with just one Veteran Champion.

  Qin Ruo wasn’t afraid of the negative de-buffs because he had the protection of his Barrier. However, his Frost Bear did not possess such protection.

  After the beam had landed on the Frost Bear, its plump meaty legs started to move almost ten times slower than usual—almost like somebody had activated bullet-time.

  After the threat of the Frost Bear was gone, the Wind-type Elemental Ape and Black Bear dashed towards Qin Ruo from two directions……

  Even though Qin Ruo was a capable fighter, he still had to forfeit mending the damaged Water Veil and focus on defending himself against the two pet monsters and Terramancer and Winged Warrior.

  Whoosh!

  A pair of snowy Angelic Wings spread out of Qin Ruo’s back……

  Five lightning-fast Frost Arrows then instantly flew at the Wind-type Elemental Ape as he whirled his Frost Witch’s Rage staff and cast three Raging Frost Roars at the oncoming Noodle Prince.

  “Get on the ground now!”


  The Terramancer was overjoyed when he saw the Aquamancer’s Angelic Wings. He happily took out a Magic Scroll and flung it out without hesitation.

  Noodle Prince had anticipated from the start that the Aquamancer would have a pair of wings. He clenched his teeth and body-slammed his bloody red full-armor into the oncoming Raging Frost Roars.

  He didn’t know then, that he already made the wrong move.

  As he rushed out of the Raging Frost Roars, the Aquamancer had disappeared! What was left was just the “Gravity Dimension” that the Terramancer had cast earlier.

  Powerful AoE Magic had crushed the Demonic Wings almost instantaneously; without the support of his wings, the Warrior fell from the sky. Naturally, this almost took away his ability to pursue Qin Ruo.

  As for the Terramancer, right after his AoE Magic Attack was cast…… Qin Ruo had activated his Liquid Form and appeared behind the Terramancer in mere seconds.

  “!!!!!”


  Unable to turn around to face Qin Ruo in time, the Terramancer was pierced by Qin Ruo’s three fatal Frost Crystals; his Magic Shield was crushed almost instantaneously while his Barrier was at the verge of being shattered after enduring over 560 Magic Damage!

  It was then that no other useful allies were near the Terramancer. The Wind-type Elemental Ape was twenty meters away and his “temporary Warrior friend” fell flat to the ground, wailing in pain. All he had was just a Light-type pet monster by his side, which wouldn’t be much of a threat to Qin Ruo.

  “Guess I’ll finish you off first.”


  As Qin Ruo was about to finish off the Terramancer and then reactivate his Water Veil to take care of the Winged Warrior, suddenly a surge of danger crept up from behind!

  Swoosh!

  A dagger slashed through the wind; its blade weaved towards Qin Ruo without a sign……

  Qin Ruo felt a grip on his heart as he prepared to fling out the Magic Scrolls in his hands…… Then, a familiar monstrous roar caught his attention……

  “Xin Yu?!”


  It was that short pause that resulted in Qin Ruo’s defenses instantly being shattered by Xin Yu and Little Eye’s attacks. He was stunned almost immediately; the Terramancer was slain in seconds too.

  The Winged Warrior struggled back up on his feet and was shocked at what lay before him—a female Bandit, an intimidating Three-eyed Orc and six axe-wielding One-eyed Orcs.
