  After defeating the last Lich, Qin Ruo swiftly returned to Savis Town.

  As he was contacting Majestic Hero and the rest to prepare for their Buried City incursion, Qin Ruo reached the Eternal Peak. He stood next to Darius, next to the edge of the peak and looked at the magnificent Eternal Corridor and the silent eerie Buried City below, waiting for his allies to deliver the final Golden Key to the Eternal Barrier.

  He wanted to witness the grand moment of when Angel Faction and Buried City become connected.

  Qin Ruo had a hunch that after this quest was cleared, the Buried City would then be open to all the Angel Faction players and the Mythical Continent.

  Today!

  Today would be the day everyone in Mythical Continent would cherish for the days to come!

  Opening the Buried City and its various unknown locations to the players would be a historical moment in H&G!

  And as he was psyched with the thought, Majestic Hero, Black God, Subjugator, and the others stepped into the Eternal Barrier. Under a curious gaze from Darius, they stood next to Qin Ruo to watch the same view from above, wondering if things would still be the same after the Warp Portal was activated.

  “They will be in here a few minutes……” Majestic Hero pulled back from the edge and turned to Qin Ruo, “I heard Fallen Angels has started recruiting.”


  After hearing that, Black God, Vibrant Blizzard, and the others looked at Qin Ruo.

  “Well, yes.”


  Qin Ruo replied with a curt and calm response, as though Fallen Angels was someone else’s clan.

  “What do you mean ‘well, yes’?” Black God was surprised.

  “Are you planning to be an absent boss?”


  “No, not like that.” Qin Ruo shrugged. “It’s just that, I’m not used to bossing people around. I prefer going on adventures alone and exploring the vast unknown.”


  “Guess that can’t be helped.” Black God shook his head. Then, everyone started another casual topic.

  Ten minutes later……

  Suddenly maniacal laughter burst from behind them.

  “Hahaha! Ahahahaha……”


  “They’re here!”


  “They’re all finally here!!”


  Leaving his guard duty to his gigantic wolf, Darius was overjoyed as he held the final Golden Key in his hands. After prancing around like a madman, Darius slashed his long sword at the ground, revealing a small keyhole. Then, he squeezed the Golden Key into the hole immediately.

  Click……click click click……

  Boom!!!

  After a series of mechanical spring noises, as though a switch had been flipped, a powerful tremor was felt in the ground—almost rocking everyone off from the Eternal Peak.

  Grrrroooom……

  Then, the Eternal Peak started to move, like a massive titanic machine.

  The majestic Eternal Corridor started to move. It kept lowering while the other end of the corridor pointed toward the middle of the Buried City.

  As all of these were happening, Qin Ruo and his friends were able to hear a seemingly familiar sound, coming from somewhere far away.

  Countless wailing and moaning could be heard from underneath the Eternal Peak.

  The Underworld creatures that were still marching upward along the mountain paths were stopped by the tremors and started to fall off from the Eternal Peak.

  In the meantime, the Liches that were still guarding the Buried City’s walls noticed the changes that were happening to the Eternal Peaks and raised their heads to look in awe.

  Countless other soulless Underworld creatures in the city were also raising their heads as a huge colossal shadow loomed over them.

  Ten Eternal Corridors dropped onto the Buried City like ten colossal arms of Titans, from the sky.

  Boooom!!!

  As a powerful quake rocked the Buried City, the first Eternal Corridor had successfully landed in the Buried City! Then, another…… and another and another…… ten Eternal Corridors had all been installed into the Buried City, forming an enormous circle around the Central Plaza of the city—like a mega boarding port for a futuristic Interstellar Battleship. It was quite a magnificent view! It was as though the corridors were announcing to the Underworld, “After a long silent century, the Underearth Race is now back for blood!”


  The awe-inspiring sight of connecting the Eternal Corridors to the Buried City demonstrated the fury of the Underearth race and the wrath of the Eternal Peaks!

  Then all of a sudden……

  Waaank!

  The Eternal Barriers that were enveloping the Ten Eternal Peaks suddenly disappeared! Then, ten rays of violet beams rose from the peaks and converged to where the Eternal Corridors were……

  Varoom……!!!

  Suddenly the surrounding areas of the Eternal Peaks started to shake. A tremendous force of energy flooded from the peaks and congregated at the Eternal Corridors, as though the energy that was used to maintain the Eternal Barriers were all now concentrated at this one location.

  Mana kept flooding out over and over. All toward that one convergent point.

  Qin Ruo and his friends were shocked at what they saw. If the Mana were to suddenly burst uncontrollably, all the Eternal Peaks would probably explode into millions of pieces.

  So, was this energy the one that had been protecting the Eternal Peaks for this entire century?! Was this the ultimate secret of the Eternal Peaks?!

  As they watched in awe, the mega huge violet beam from the peaks suddenly vanished under their noses.

  The violet beam did not actually disappear—it was beaming downward, cutting through the city beneath it.

  The violet beam was shot from the Eternal Peak, several thousands of meters above the ground, through the Eternal Corridor and onto the Buried City.

  Then, like a hot knife through butter, it ripped apart several kilometers of soil underground.

  And it all happened in the blink of an eye.

  Then, all the violet beams from the rest of the other nine Eternal Peaks also did the same, one by one, conjuring the energy of the Eternal Barriers and puncturing deep into the Buried City.

  The moment the Eternal Corridors slammed themselves onto the Buried City’s Central Plaza, the countless Underworld creatures that were guarding the city were spooked and came out from their hidings. Skeleton Warriors, Arcane Zombies, Cerberuses, Skeleton Knights, Death Knights, and even the enigmatically powerful Liches were all rushing toward the center of the Buried City.

  That was not only a Central Plaza of the Buried City, it was also the location of where the strongest protection of the Underworld laid. And more importantly, it was also where the Spawn of Hades and Eye of Hades were located!

  Tower of Hades!

  Right after Buried City fell, the tower stood in the middle of the Buried City. It was a few hundred meters in height, on top of the tower stood a green eerie looking giant eyeball. That was Hades’ super weapon—the Eye of Hades.

  The tower was placed there by Hades himself to keep an eye on the Buried City, ensuring no living beings exist in the city. The Buried City was, in Hades’ grand plan, the gateway for the Underworld to connect to the Mythical Continent.

  A huge bulky black silhouette stood atop the tower next to the Eye of Hades. Its pair of red eyes under the hood leered at the ten violet beams that were puncturing the ground right in front of the tower.

  The violet beams then converged into a huge round violet light ball, 200 diameters in size.

  A second later, a huge beautiful diagram started to appear.

  It was like ten master painters collaborated to paint their masterpiece from the edge of the “light ball”.

  The “diagram” was the warp portal that led to the depth of Buried City itself, one that was bigger than the one in Moonrise City.

  “One hundred years……”


  “Finally……”


  A crisp voice mixed with excitement echoed from the Tower of Hades……

  Then, the black silhouette flipped a horrifying black arm from its black ebony sleeves and pointed at the Warp Portal……

  “Attack!”


  A daunting order, with a low voice, echoed in the Buried City.

  Then, the Underworld army was agitated by the order, the order from the highest power in their ranks. The hundreds of Liches that were circling around the tower suddenly let out an ear-piercing screech and flew down toward the Warp Portal in full speed. The other countless Underworld creatures on the ground were also marching toward the portal.

  ***

  As the Guardians on the Eternity Peaks activated the sealed Warp Portal, Buried City, and Angel Faction were now finally connected via their Warp Portals.

  However, Darius and his fellow Guardians, together with Qin Ruo and his friends, witnessed everything below in the Buried City—the black silhouette on top of the Tower of Hades and the enormous Underworld Army.

  Everyone’s face turned pale.

  It was then that they understood. Darius, the Guardians, Qin Ruo, Majestic Hero, everyone understood why the Underworld creatures had been sitting around the Buried City for a century.

  They were waiting for this very opportunity!

  Waves after waves of Underworld creatures were being teleported to the surface, to the Mythical Continent—via the Warp Portal that humans themselves created.

  The announcement regarding the Angel Faction connecting to the Buried City in the system message was such an irony to Qin Ruo and his friends.
