Chapter 975 - See You Again

Qin Feng guessed it right. They were now in the center region of the continent. This was probably the route that led up to the dragon’s brain, where the Immortal’s crystal core was placed at.

Since they were on the inside, the energy level was much more abundant than other places on this continent. As a result, the specters roamed this place wherever darkness went. Highly dangerous creatures, like the giant monster with sharp claws from before, would also emerge here during the night.

It took a toll on those below SS-tiers to even move a step in here. Even the SS-tiers could hardly reap any benefits if they were to explore the cave unprepared.

However, high risk often comes with high rewards. More dragon blood that Qin Feng had obtained outside could be abundant here. There were also dark stones and dragon marrow hidden somewhere in here.

As he ran, Qin Feng’s consciousness detected a special kind of ore. Though it was only as big as a fingernail, Qin Feng would not waste it.

  He suddenly accelerated.

Zolls and the others were baffled. They did not dare to speed up as Qin Feng did.

“What the hell are you doing?” Zolls growled. He did not know what Qin Feng was scheming.

Unbelievably, Zolls actually could not catch up with Qin Feng even if he wanted to.

That did not mean he did not have a hundred ways to kill Qin Feng. But there were too many specters following him. Taking out their target now would only turn the specters toward the main group.

Qin Feng did not plan to slow down. He extended his dark aura over to the ore. Then, he discreetly snatched the stone directly into his spatial equipment.

Qin Feng then immediately slowed down to let the others catch up to him. His consciousness was delivered out at the same time.

“I have completed 10,000 meters. It’s time for a switch.”

The other S-tiers immediately tensed up. None of them wanted to be the next lure.

“Master Zolls, I don’t think he is exhausted yet since he could run that fast just now. There’s still fuel left in his tank, why not let him continue?” Voodoo Lord suggested.

Zolls was indeed displeased with Qin Feng. He did not like how the A4-tier kept challenging his patience. Voodoo Lord’s suggestion was exactly what he wanted to hear.

“Keep running. I will replace you when I want to. You talk too much.”

Qin Feng was calm on the surface but sneered quietly inside. He estimated the number of specters around them and reckoned that was still not enough to threaten Zolls. As such, he conceded and kept running.

There were about 600 men inside the valley now. Some were running at the same pace as Qin Feng. After 10,000 meters, most S-tiers could hardly continue and began to plead.

  “I can’t continue. Switch!”

“Master, I have reached my limit, save me!”

“Old devil, if I die here, I won’t let any of you live.”

An SS-tier beside Qin Feng suddenly unleashed an attack. It was too fast for the S-tier to react and his leg was immediately cut off. The scent of blood stimulated the specters as they swarmed toward the amputated S-tier instantly.

The exhausted S-tier was already on the verge of being engulfed by the specters. The attack by the SS-tier only sped up his inevitable death.

“Go!” The SS-tier urged his subordinates and picked another cannon fodder to lead the way.

As for those specters accumulated from earlier, they remained on the spot being hooked by the dying S-tier.

It was a petrifying scene to watch. The other S-tiers ran harder as no one wanted to die in such a pitiful way.

The SS-tiers were cruel and close to being inhumane. Another human was left behind as bait unsympathetically just because he no longer had any value.

Qin Feng maintained a steady speed and did not ask for a switch again. He continued to run for another half an hour and ended up covering 100,000 meters. Because he was not replaced, the specters amassed behind him grew larger and larger. It felt like there were at least four to five thousand of them, not counting those that overlapped with each other.

The others had never seen a person who could endure this long and had gathered these many specters.

Voodoo Lord and Shao Tai were palpitating as they watched the accumulating specters. Zolls also had a bad feeling about it.

“You are doing well. I will give you a chance to live. You can run back now. Whether you can leave this place alive or not depends on yourself,” Zolls said.

He would not kill Qin Feng like how the other SS-tiers treated their slaves, because if Qin Feng were to collapse, he would have a large army of specters to deal with. That was not a number he could escape unharmed.

Besides, the next 10,000 meters had been explored by the other SS-tiers before. That was where the real treasures were. Qin Feng’s true strength was still a mystery. Zolls did not want such an unstable threat to follow him there.

The idea to activate Dark Shroud had just crossed Qin Feng’s mind and Zolls had seen through his intention. Perhaps that was the so-called sixth sense.

But Qin Feng did not mind. If he killed these many specters at once, his consciousness would certainly reach A8-tier.

Thus, Qin Feng accepted Zolls’s arrangement without hesitation.

“Thank you for not killing me. I will see you again.”

That was not out of courtesy. Qin Feng truly believed that they would cross paths again in the future.

Zolls had been on his high horse for a very long time. It was not Qin Feng if he did not teach him a lesson in the future.

Qin Feng turned around and let Zolls go this time. He disappeared from their sight, along with the large crowd of specters.

After Qin Feng left, the others were momentarily relieved. But a new problem soon arose—Who would be the second person to lead the way?

Qin Feng could not care less about their strife. He broadened his senses after leaving. When he had gone to a safe distance, he freed his true power.

  “Frozen Age!”

Numerous abilities amplified by the Sacred Ice Stone were unleashed, generating a destructive force that froze all the specters instantly.

Qin Feng then drew his Verdant Emperor Saber and killed them rapidly.

Numerous dark runes and consciousness merged into Qin Feng’s conscious realm. It boosted his conscious power all the way up to the critical point.

  Boom!

A familiar hum rang in his head, signifying that the threshold had been surpassed. Qin Feng’s consciousness was once again sublime.

  A8-tier!

‘An Immortal’s dimension is certainly full of encounters and opportunities.’ Qin Feng could not be more satisfied. He believed that even breaking through S-tier was possible if he stayed here longer.

After cleansing the specters, Qin Feng did not conceal his aura like he usually did. Instead, he bared his life force unreservedly. More so, he took out a crystal core that belonged to the Gorefiend and put it inside the pocket of his Dark Armor.

The crystal core was also pulsing with vitality. As soon as Qin Feng took it out, shadows began to spiral up from the ground.

The specters gathered up around him rapidly as they had never left.

Qin Feng was on the move again.

An activity that others despised, Qin Feng did it willingly and persistently. He wanted to lure as many specters as possible.

Of course, he was headed in a completely different direction from Zolls and co. He did not want to be seen.

Shortly after he began running, Qin Feng heard a raging roar. The sound was followed by an intense aura.

  ‘Death Behemoth!’

  Qin Feng reacted immediately.
