Chapter 381: Two Matches
writer:Fu Zhi      update:2022-07-11 16:47
Initially, he wanted to warn Ji Hou not to be gullible and careless. However, on second thought, he did not know why Ouyang Feng would want Ji Hou to fight an adorable young lady like her.

‘Perhaps Commander Ouyang wants to test her?’

With that thought in mind, he said, “Proceed with the match but make sure you don’t overdo it.”

Everyone thought Yuan Qing would switch Ji Hou to another ordinary member. After all, Ouyang Feng just wanted Fu Zhi to fight someone. He had not specified who she should be fighting.

They could not believe that Yuan Qing would actually agree to such nonsense.

The ordinary members who had just sparred with Ji Hou couldn’t help muttering, “Seriously? Are they really going to do it? Ji Hou, remember to be gentle. Don’t make her cry!”

“What is Commander Ouyang thinking? Can that young lady take a punch from Ji Hou?”

“What are you thinking, Ji Hou? Are you going to beat a woman?”

“This is hard. He can’t hit a woman or let a woman hit him. Thank God I’m not the one up there.”

Well, there was also a group of people that shared the same thought as Yuan Qing. “Who knows, maybe this young lady is a wolf in sheep’s clothing?”

“Are you serious, brother? Have you read too many comics? Look at her. She’s so small. How could she possibly be a wolf?”

“Well, Ouyang Ya is petite as well, but she could fight with Yuan Qing. How would you explain that?”

“How can you compare her with Ouyang Ya?”

Everyone was busy expressing their own opinion.

Ji Hou was so anxious that he wanted to scream. How could he fight with her? Even if he lost both of his arms, he still could make quick work of Fu Zhi. He did not know why Ouyang Feng had to make things tough for him. What if he accidentally injured her? If that happened, he was certain they were going to punish him.

That said, he could not disobey Ouyang Feng’s order. After bowing slightly with both hands clasped in front of him, he said, “Miss, since you refuse to back off, then don’t blame me if something happens to you!”

Ji Hou tried to force Fu Zhi to give up the match by intimidating her. However, he had not expected that Fu Zhi would have already run out of patience. No sooner had he finished talking than she charged straight at him like an arrow released from the bow.

Everyone there practiced martial arts and lived on the edge of life and death.

The moment Fu Zhi charged at Ji Hou, all of them shouted, “Holy……”

  Someone closed their eyes.

“Here it comes! Here it comes! She’s going to get beaten to a pulp!”

“She doesn’t even have a weapon. Is she going to fight him barehanded?”

“Alright, stop talking and just watch.”

“There’s nothing to watch. I’m sure the match will end as soon as it begins.”

The person who spoke crossed his arms in front of his chest. Then, with a condescending tone, he added, “She probably is a kid from a certain elite family in Yu City. Her family members must have asked our commander to bring her here to broaden her horizons. In any case, I just hope she won’t cry after she’s beaten to the ground. Otherwise, it will be too annoying.”

After he finished speaking, he heard a few thumping sounds.

Like a violent maniac, the young lady showered Ji Hou with a barrage of full-force punches the moment she was in front of him. Ji Hou tried to parry the blows but was too late. Fu Zhi clenched her fist and delivered an uppercut right on his chin, defeating him in the process.

When he fell down on his back with a meaty smack, the crowd gasped and shouted in unison. “Are we having an illusion?”

“Ji Hou was defeated by a lady?”

  “I heard his bones crack!”

  “She’s really a wolf in a sheep’s skin!”

All of them looked with disbelief at Fu Zhi, who was standing in the ring looking at Ji Hou. She saluted him and said, “Thank you for the fight.”

Her voice was gentle and low, but it was loud enough to be heard by the crowd, causing everyone to realize that this was not a dream but a contest that had really happened.

‘She’s so fast! Ji Hao didn’t even get a chance to defend himself before he was defeated!’

Some of the ordinary members muttered, “Could Vice-Captain Ji Hou have underestimated her and not noticed that Fu Zhi was in front of him?”

“Nope, Ji Hou noticed her the moment she charged at him,” Ouyang Feng chimed in as he nodded in satisfaction. “Excellent. Can any of you tell me where she punched Ji Hou? No? Alright, let me tell you guys. Those are some of the most vulnerable acupuncture points in our bodies. She should be a medical practitioner, as she didn’t just use brute force to defeat him. She isn’t a pampered girl, as all of you thought. She’s a fighter who’s very good at martial arts!”

As soon as he finished speaking, Ji Hou slowly got to his feet. The annoyance had disappeared from his face, and he realized that he had been wrong. He should not have underestimated the girl in front of him. He saluted Fu Zhi in return and said, “I lost.”

Then, Yuan Qing came to help him down from the ring. There was still a throbbing pain on the spot Fu Zhi had hit. He felt a little embarrassed of himself for belittling her. A few seconds ago, he had thought Fu Zhi was not worthy to be his opponent, and it was only when Fu Zhi had wiped the floor with him a second later that he had realized how wrong she was.

Even though Ouyang Ya was a genius in her own right, Fu Zhi was far better than her. Even now, his body was still screaming in pain.

Fu Zhi was significantly stronger than him in terms of speed and strength. Perhaps the people below the stage could not see it clearly, but as the person who had been defeated by her, he was totally convinced of how strong she was.

Even though he had underestimated her, he was pretty sure that he could not do anything against her even if he was well-prepared.

“She’s not ordinary,” Ji Yuan said.

  Yuan Qing nodded.

At the same time, Ouyang Feng said, “Since Fu Zhi won the match, she will continue to accept challenges on the stage as the winner. All of you are welcome to challenge her to a fight on one condition: You won’t go overboard.”

The crowd looked at each other, but no one was willing to go on the stage to fight her.

Even though she had defeated Ji Hou, she was still a girl, and as men, they did not think it was right to challenge her to a fight.

Ouyang Feng squinted his eyes. He knew what they were thinking. They didn’t think Fu Zhi was on equal footing with them despite the fact that Fu Zhi had just beaten Ji Hou. After all, they all felt that Fu Zhi had defeated Ji Hou because his left hand was injured and he had underestimated her. However, their attitude was completely different when it came to Ouyang Ya. They respected her a lot, and they’d never dare to belittle her.

After Yuan Qing helped Ji Hou settle down on the bench, he went on the ring.

He raised his hand in front of his chest and bowed before Fu Zhi as he said, “My name is Yuan Qing, and I would like to challenge you to a match!”

Ouyang Feng pressed his lips firmly.

Yuan Qing’s strength was not on the same level as Ji Hou’s. Plus, he was calmer and he seldom underestimated his opponent. Thus, it would be impossible if Fu Zhi tried to defeat him the way she had defeated Ji Hou.

Even though Ouyang Feng was a little worried about Fu Zhi, he willed himself to calm down. He told himself that it was fine if Fu Zhi lost the match. She was still young, and he had a lot of time to nurture her. There was no need for him to compare her to Ouyang Ya at all.

Fu Zhi, who was oblivious to Ouyang Feng’s thoughts, nodded at Yuan Qing.

Yuan Qing said, “I truly want to spar with you, so……”

He pulled a knife out of his boot and handed it to Fu Zhi. “I’m not exaggerating or anything, but I’m not like Ji Hou. If you want to defeat me, then you will need at least a weapon.”

Seeing how confident he was, Fu Zhi replied, “It’s fine. I can make quick work of you even without a weapon.”

  The crowd was speechless.

‘Can you hear yourself talking? You’re up against our captain!’

“Aside from the captains of other teams, nobody has had the guts to say something like that to Yuan Qing before.”

“I can see that Yuan Qing really wants to spar with her, but unfortunately, she has grown dizzy after her victory against Ji Hou. Let me tell you something, young lady. Yuan Qing is a few times stronger than Ji Hou!”

“Yuan Qing, let’s show her who’s the boss here!”

Yuan Qing had not expected Fu Zhi to make such a bold statement either. However, he was not an indecisive man. He looked at Ouyang Feng, and when he nodded at him, he put the knife back into his boot.

  “Well, let’s go then.”

Before his voice died away, Yuan Qing had already dashed toward Fu Zhi. He lifted his leg and delivered a kick straight at her face.

Fu Zhi turned to the side to dodge the attack, hearing the wind whistling past her ear.

She squinted her eyes. She realized that the man in front of her was stronger than Ji Hou. She clenched her fist and rammed it toward Yuan Qing’s jaw, only to be parried by his fist.

Although females were at a clear disadvantage in terms of physical strength, this did not apply to Fu Zhi.

Not only did she take Yuan Qing’s punch head-on, but she also seized this chance to grab Yuan Qing’s coat. Just as Yuan Qing lost his balance, she gripped Yuan Qing’s arm, pulled him toward her, and flipped him over her shoulder.

“Please tell me I’m not blind. Did she just flip Yuan Qing over her shoulder?”

“She’s a girl, yet she performed the shoulder flip on Yuan Qing?”

Without giving Yuan Qing a chance to retaliate, she raised her leg and stomped at him. Yuan Qing rolled across the ground and avoided the hit.

After he got back to his feet, he touched his left hand, which was still trembling from pain due to the shock.

He did not know if Fu Zhi felt the same pain he felt in his left hand, but his entire hand felt numb right now due to the impact.

He finally knew how much pain Ji Hou had felt.

Yuan Qing did not care what the crowd said. He could sense that Fu Zhi was indeed very strong.

Perhaps she was even stronger than Ouyang Ya.

Yuan Qing pulled the knife out of his boot, took a deep breath, and rushed up to her once more.

The group of people below the stage felt that Yuan Qing’s moves were swift and powerful. On the contrary, Fu Zhi was merely dodging and seemed to have no intention of making any moves.

Just as they were about to say something, Fu Zhi suddenly saw her chance and delivered a kick on Yuan Qing’s wrist, stunning him in the process. Yuan Qing quickly pulled himself together and stabbed the knife toward Fu Zhi’s throat as a last resort.

However, Fu Zhi was a tad faster than him. Before the knife could touch her, she grabbed Yuan Qing’s neck, causing him to drop the knife to the ground.

The entire base entered a deathly silence, as none of them had expected that Fu Zhi would win the match.

Ouyang Feng could not hold back and clapped his hands. “Good fight!”

  Then, everyone else followed suit.

Fu Zhi retracted her hand from Yuan Qing’s neck.

She had defeated Yuan Qing with just three moves.

When the realization hit Yuan Qing, he looked at the young lady standing not far away, his eyes filled with disbelief.

  She was saluting him.

Yuan Qing calmed himself down and touched his neck. He still could not quite believe what had just transpired. If he really had been Fu Zhi’s enemy, he was certain that she would have crushed his neck without any hesitation.

Yuan Qing had not underestimated her, yet he’d still lost to Fu Zhi, which was enough to prove how strong Fu Zhi was.

Fu Zhi had won two matches in a row, and the two people she had defeated were the strongest on the team.

The rest of the members had lost the desire to challenge her to a match. Well, Ouyang Feng felt that this was enough as well, as Fu Zhi had already proven her strength.

Fu Zhi stepped down from the ring. She walked up to Ouyang Feng and said, “The gun and the notebook. You promised that you would give them to me.”

  “Well, come with me.”

Fu Zhi then left with Ouyang Feng.

“Where did our commander get her? She’s so strong!”

“She’s even stronger than Ouyang Ya. I remember that it took Ouyang Ye ten moves to defeat Yuan Qing, but she defeated him with just three moves!”

“I wonder if our commander wants to take her in as his disciple or not.”

“I don’t think so. She doesn’t seem like she knows much about firearm design to me. Look at Ouyang Ya. She has designed so many firearms, yet Commander did not take her in as his disciple.”

Fu Zhi did not know about their discussion.

She was now heading back to No.1 High School in Ouyang Feng’s car while reading Ouyang Feng’s notebook.

Truth be told, she was not very well-versed in firearm design. After all, she’d only gained knowledge from Ouyang Zhui’s notebook.

However, while reading through Ouyang Feng’s notebook, she realized that the two of them had very different design concepts.

As Fu Zhi read through his notebook, Ouyang Feng observed her out of the corner of his eye.

After a long while, he said, “Yuan Qing is not weak. He’s one of the top 100 international professional freelancers.”

‘Owh…… Then you may not know that Shen Cizhou is my bodyguard.’

Chapter 382: You Have To Call Me Master Before I Will Start Teaching You

Fu Zhi did not tell Ouyang Feng about Shen Cizhou, just like she was certain that Ouyang Feng would not tell her about the Shadow Corps.

Whatever she witnessed at the Shadow Corps were the things Ouyang Feng wanted her to see.

Rumor had it that the mysterious power of the Ouyang Family was much more than what Fu Zhi had seen.

The car was moving smoothly on the road. Ouyang Feng then said, “I didn’t jot down in detail the construction of some firearms in my notebook, so if you are interested, feel free to ask in my office.”

Fu Zhi cast a suspicious gaze at Ouyang Feng, as if she did not believe that he would be so nice to her.

Just as she’d expected, Ouyang Feng said, “But you have to call me master first before I’ll start teaching you.”

  Fu Zhi was speechless.

  *

  At the Mu Residence……

After school, Mu Chenxi went back home. She wanted to complain to her father about the things that had happened during her school today, but as soon as she entered her father’s study, Mu Chanqing gestured silently.

Then, he put the phone closer to his ear and said, “Don’t worry, President Jiang. It’s just a misunderstanding. Everything is going to be fine. Weibo? I haven’t seen it. Although I don’t know why she would say that, I assure you that we will take care of it.

“Okay…… Yes…… Alright, thank you for understanding. Rest assured, I will not let you down!”

Mu Changqing comforted him before the person on the other side of the line hung up the phone. He let out a long sigh and slumped onto his chair.

He rubbed his face vigorously with his hands and kicked the chair beside him in frustration, causing Mu Chenxi to jump up in fright.

“What’s wrong, dad?” Mu Chenxi asked, her voice shaking with fear.

Seeing the dark expression on her father’s face, Mu Chenxi forwent her attempt to seek solace from her father. She knew her father had been talking to President Jiang just now, and it seemed to her that President Jiang was not happy with the things Pure Feather had posted on her Weibo account today.

“I have a business deal with the Jiang Family, and Pure Feather is the reason they were willing to give the opportunity to us. However, Pure Feather posted something on her Weibo account this morning, and the Jiang Family is infuriated. They are going to put the deal on hold, and President Jiang said they would only keep their end of the deal after we got the film rights from Pure Feather!”

Mu Changqing smacked the table hard again before adding, “The profit of the deal alone is worth a few million, and I don’t understand why Pure Feather would draw back from the cooperation all of a sudden. If she hadn’t done it, we would have gotten the deal already!”

Mu Changqing was exasperated. He did not know what had gone wrong or who had offended Pure Feather, but Mu Chenxi knew.

She had just gotten humiliated by Fu Zhi this morning. Besides, Pure Feather had only posted on Weibo after she had infuriated Fu Zhi.

But could Mu Chenxi tell her father?

  No, she could not.

Although Mu Chanqing loved her, if he knew that she was the reason he had lost the business deal, she was certain that he would beat her up.

‘It’s all Fu Zhi’s fault! If she hadn’t gotten in the way, none of this would have happened.’

Mu Chenxi thought for a while and then said, “Dad, I know why Pure Feather doesn’t want to cooperate with us.”

“?” Mu Changqing looked quizzically at his daughter.

“Dad, do you remember that you were going to donate books to our school? When I went there this morning, I heard from the delivery man of the Fu Corporation that Pure Feather had donated 2,000 books because of Fu Zhi.”

“What? Why would she do that?”

Mu Changqing had always thought that there wasn’t a solid relationship between Fu Zhi and Pure Feather and Fu Zhi was only one of her fervent fans at best.

Well, maybe she was not her fan at all. Pure Feather was just taking care of a girl who had lost her parents from a young age because of her relationship with the research institute.

However, it seemed to him that this was not the case now.

After all, Pure Feather had rejected him when he’d offered to buy her books to donate them to No.1 High School.

“It’s true, dad,” Mu Chenxi said. “Did I not have a conflict with Fu Zhi? Because Fu Zhi treated me badly and her classmates scolded me, I said that I would definitely not give the books to the students of Class 21 if I donated them. You know this, right?”

  Mu Changqing nodded.

It was not a big deal. Fu Zhi and her friends in Class 21 were being unreasonable, and Mu Changqing was not happy with their attitude either.

“Dad, Fu Zhi must have gotten to know Pure Feather through the research institute. She doesn’t like us, so she found someone to badmouth us in front of Pure Feather, causing Pure Feather to terminate our cooperation!”

She did not tell her father about the things she had done to Fu Zhi this morning, and she just blamed everything on Fu Zhi.

She then added, “And you still personally went to welcome her at the Angel Foundation the other day. Not only was she not grateful for you, but she even sabotaged your business deal. I’ve never seen a vicious, evil girl like her before!”

The cooperation with the Jiang Family was a deal that every elite family in both Yu City and the capital sought after. The Mu Family had been on the brink of transformation, but Fu Zhi had spoiled everything.

“How dare she! So it was her the whole time!”

Mu Changqing had ordered his secretary to check which people in the Mu Family had offended Pure Feather, but to no avail. After he listened to what his daughter had to say, he finally realized it was Fu Zhi who had been pulling the strings and had sabotaged the cooperation between them and Pure Feather.

The more Mu Chanqing thought about it, the angrier he became. He pushed all the cups and the teapot on the table to the floor.

“Dad, what should we do now?” Mu Chenxi asked carefully.

“I will stay in contact with Pure Feather. As for Fu Zhi……” Mu Changqing sneered coldly.

She was just a grasshopper who did not know how high the sky was. He was certain that he’d be able to crush her easily.

Of course, he would deal with her later.

The most important thing right now was comforting Pure Feather to continue their cooperation.

“The Fu Corporation doesn’t take part in the entertainment business. We just need to make our script as perfect as possible and I’m sure Pure Feather will come back to us,” Mu Changqing said with confidence.

However, Mu Chenxi did not think so. She thought of the scandals of their movie director and frowned.
