“I will pay attention next time.”

“Being late once a month will lead to a fine, twice will result in a demerit point and thrice will cause you to lose your year-end bonus.” Yang Tian reminded her coldly. “This is your second time being late this month.”

Although the Sheng Shi Group was generous with its pay, it was also extremely strict with its employees.

“I promise there won’t be a third time.” Xiao Aiting apologised again and took the only empty seat left in the office.

Yang Tian gestured towards the fifty fashion designers present. “These individuals are all our capable fashion designers.” He then turned to Fang Xinxin and Bai Jingrou. “In a moment, both of you will compete with one another and the winner will become their supervisor. Later, you both will follow me to a conference room and design your product there. I will supervise the process entirely and will not participate in the voting. Your designs will be submitted anonymously and twenty members from the upper management will vote for the winner.”

Bai Jingrou suggested. “Since the winner will supervise these fifty designers, why not let them participate in the voting as well? This way, the upper management cannot be biased towards either of us.”

Yang Tian turned towards Fang Xinxin. Fang Xinxin nodded. “I agree.”

Bai Jingrou was still worried. “Vice-President Yang, my mother would also like to supervise this competition with you. Is that alright?”

  \r \r \r

After all, if Yang Tian was supervising, it meant that he would know which design belonged to whom. If he leaked the news and allowed the upper management to vote for Fang Xinxin’s design…

Thus, it would only be fair if her mother was arranged to watch Yang Tian and stop him from sharing anything.

Yang Tian naturally guessed her concerns. “It seems like Miss Bai has difficulties trusting me?”

“My mother simply wishes to watch how I design.”

“Is that so?” Yang Tian clearly did not believe her. Still, he nodded. “It’s fine. Where is she right now?”

“She has already arrived in the lounge. I will ask her to supervise us later.”

  “No problem.”

In a conference room on the sixty-seventh floor, a long, extravagant conference table was installed. Rows of chairs were neatly arranged on every side.

Fang Xinxin and Bai Jingrou sat on opposite ends of the table and were separated by a significant distance.

No matter how strong their vision was, they could not see each other’s design across the distance.

Various materials including pen, paper and ink had been prepared.

They were both given three hours to come up with their design.

Jingrou had already thought of her design. Thus, she immediately moved her pencil. She was certain that she would be able to complete the design within an hour. Based on speed alone, she was guaranteed to defeat Fang Xinxin.

To her surprise, after fifteen minutes, Fang Xinxin stood up. She spoke loudly and clearly. “I’m done!”

“So fast?” Bai Jingrou lifted her head and watched her in disbelief. “Fang Xinxin, are you actually done?”

“Of course.” Fang Xinxin stepped out of the conference room.

Bai Jingrou was quite upset about this. Although she had drawn this design countless times, since it was especially intricate and unique, it still took her an hour to complete it.

She signed her name on the bottom right corner.

“My design is complete!” The moment she spoke, a female secretary stepped into the room. She used a small label sticker to conceal their names mentioned on their work.

This way, no one would be able to tell who the design belonged to.

The two designs were then placed side by side.

Bai Jingrou remained worried. She intentionally moved the design on the right to the left.

This way, the person from before could not get any hints about Fang Xinxin’s work.
