She sat down on the couch and took a bottle of water out of her bag. She took a sip and said indifferently, “It’s not my problem whether or not the Fang family spirals down. A portion of the money that Dad made, belongs to me. Since you wiped out the Fang family’s accounts, return my share to me first.”

She would not allow the Fang family any more opportunities to rely on the Bai family.

“The money is already gone.” And her portion added up to millions of dollars. Fang Lilan’s loving expression nearly fell apart. “How am I supposed to find so much money for you?”

“Then quit being shameless and stop telling me to ask the Bai family for money. If you have the ability, go ask him yourself.”

Fang Lilan controlled the urge to slap Fang Xinxin but her tone became harsh again. “Bai Qinghao only gives you face. If he listened to my requests, would I still look for you?”

“Then quit dreaming about the Bai family’s money.” Fang Xinxin smiled coldly. “If you have the ability, go earn it yourself.”

“You…… you’re driving me mad with anger. I already told you money is hard to make these days!” Fang Lilan’s chest was aching after arguing with her. “You unfilial daughter!”

Fang Xinxin paid no attention to her flushed, angered expression. She finished the bottle of water in a few gulps.

“Mom, mom, don’t be angry.” Fang Manxue immediately patted her mother’s back lightly.

She glared at Fang Xinxin, who was seated on the couch in front of her. “Third Sister, look how much you have agitated mom. We’re a family. We share the same blood. Money isn’t important. We can’t carry it with us when we leave this world. You should stop being so petty in your behavior.”

“You’re asking me not to be petty……” Fang Xinxin’s expression was scathing. “You were the ones who wanted to settle the debt with me the moment I came home.”

“All right, all right.” Fang Lilan appeared to have made a decision. “Let’s forget about the three hundred thousand dollars that you wasted.”

Shuhai had asked Bai Qinghao for a refund but was promptly shut down. He did not receive even a single cent from him. Originally, she wanted to ask this brat to request for double the amount from Bai Qinghao. However, from the look of things, it was unlikely that they would succeed.

Fang Xinxin, the wench, was behaving so strangely. Why did it seem like she had become a different person?

Lilan’s sharp gaze shifted onto the fat figure on the couch. Her eyes held suspicion in them.

“In the future, let’s get along well as a family.” Fang Manxue played the role of a mediator.

Fang Xinxin did not bother to respond to them. She stood up and went to the second floor. She walked into the new room assigned to her.

Since she now had a room, she would not torture herself by returning to that old storage place.

Fang Manxue watched her walk away and said, “Mom, don’t you feel that Fang Xinxin has lost some weight?”

“She does seem thinner.” Fang Lilan narrowed her eyes. “Look at her clothes. The branded stuff that Bai Qinghao bought her seems to have become looser.”

“The damn wench is trying hard to lose weight.” Fang Manxue deliberated over it. “We can’t let her become any thinner!”

It had been some time since the wench took the drugs. She needed to find an opportunity to make her have some.

Fang Lilan patted Fang Manxue on the shoulder. “Don’t worry. Bai Qinghao will definitely be yours.” ……

The moon was charmingly bright tonight.

Fang Xinxin rested in her room for a while. When she came downstairs again, Fang Manxue and Fang Lilan were no longer there.

She headed to the Fang family’s backyard and stood in front of a large tree planted next to the fence.

Fang Shaohua had mentioned that he saved a sum of money for her. He had left the card in the box under the tree.

Once, when they were young, she saw her elder brother digging out a tin box from this exact place. She had asked him what it contained.

Her elder brother had told her that the little box under the tree held all his treasures.
